The Week, NZ Herald, The Elephant, & Allen Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking

It’s fabulous to see more media coverage for Allen Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking in newspapers, magazines, and on websites all over the world this New Year.

Below we feature just a small selection; they’re only extracts but you can click on the links at the bottom of the page to read the whole features.

‘The Week’ is a digest publication that tries to provide its readers with a selection of stories from across the media. They focused on “Six of The Best Ways to Quit Smoking” and thankfully, aside from the usual suggestions of nicotine patches and gum, or e-cigarettes, or keeping busy, also gave a shout out to Allen Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking method.

“Few are as roundly revered as Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Stop Smoking. Millions of copies of his book have been sold and his perspective on smoking is thought to have helped some 30 million people make serious changes in their life.”

The New Zealand Herald’s ‘Northern Advocate’ publication does the same – this time mentioning Cassandra Bell, a ‘Northlander’ who quit smoking after reading Allen Carr’s book, Easy Way to Stop Smoking.

She said, “Quitting smoking is the best decision I’ve ever made. My breathing is so much easier now, I never cough in the morning, and I really didn’t want to smoke while I am pregnant”.

Mindfulness publication ‘Elephant Journal’ gave musician and poet Billy Manas an opportunity to write about ditching the idea of New Year’s Resolutions and trying something different (in the course of which he thoroughly recommends Allen Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking).

“My first-hand experience with quitting cigarettes after nearly 25 years of smoking opened my eyes to a truth that can be applied to any change one needs to make.

I read a book by Allen Carr called “The Easy Way to Quit Smoking,” and what was so ingenious about his technique was that he removed the feeling of being deprived of cigarette smoking and replaced it with the feeling of being given a healthy, happy new life as a non-smoker”.

It would be remiss of us, at this point, to forget to mention Allen Carr’s Easyway to Mindfulness which has been extremely well-received since it was published last month. It’s designed to be an easy introduction to the practise of mindfulness and the reviews indicate that it’s a hit (it currently tops several bestsellers list categories).
