Allen Carr should have been Knighted. It took me just two days to be a non smoker, that being the time it took to read “easyway”. I’ve smoked on average 30 a day for the last 25 years and did not think it would be easy to give up. I cannot believe that by reading one book I could stop just like that and actually enjoy doing so! What really hurts now, is there are so many of my friends that smoke ( most of them adamant that I was the heaviest smoker that they knew and would never give up ) and won’t even pick up the book. Similar to other testimonials, I can’t explain why this has worked , what I do know is that I will never smoke again!

I am a non-smoker! I will never smoke a cigarette again. I didn’t even realise how much I wanted to stop smoking until I read Alan Carr’s Easy Way – I thought I enjoyed smoking & needed to smoke to feel relaxed. Oh how wrong I was. I have been free for 4 weeks & feel fantastic. Thank you.

Now I’ve just finished it, I can say I am a non smoker woman, and for that, I wanna thank you, you changed and saved my life!!!!

I read Allen Carr’s EASY WAY to stop smoking. I was amazed. I wondered why I hadn’t heard of this book before now. If I had read something like this back in 1983 when I first started smoking, I wouldn’t have been a smoker for 27 years. I had made the choice to give up, that I wouldn’t be smoking by my 44th birthday,(March 12) and thats when I read the book, 2 days before my 44th birthday. I was already two days into “have given up” before I started the book. I haven’t had a cigarette since. It’s early days, but I feel very confident. I DON’T NEED CIGARETTES ANYMORE!!
Thanks Allen Carr.

I smoked for nearly 20 years. Haven’t smoked a single cigarette in nearly 3 years. I read the first chapter, and I was done. I had a brand new pack, and threw it in the garbage. It was totally by accident. My 9 year old son ask me to buy a quit smoking book every time we went in the book store. I finally broke down and bought one. It was absolutly the best investment decision I’ve ever made! I try as much as possible to recommend this book to other people, but most of the people, like myself, say they are not ready or don’t want to quit. All I can say is it worked for me. If your thinking about it, don’t. Just try it it just might change your life, by accident.

Hi!Mi name is mihai,I’m from romania.I want other people to find out how easy is to quit smoking with the help of easy way.I’m only 19 yo ,I’ve been a smoker for 3 years and it was awful,I always had a bad smell in my clothes and I never had enough money because i always had to buy smokes.I’m very happy now because I’m full of energy all time, and I’m not so nervous anymore. When i was a smoker I souldn’t even talk with other peole because I was ashemed by the fact that my mouth smelled ugly, and my clothes to,had a bad smell.Even though I have only been a smoker for 3 years not 20 or 30 years like other people,I was dependent of nicotine and in the last months of my smoker life i was smoking from 20 to 30 cigarettes on day.I want to say thanks to Allen Carr, because his bad experience helped other people like me and you,and thanks to everyone who’s reading this.I will try to help people to get off smoking, like Allen helped us,and I think you should do the same. Thanks everyone! And sorry for my spelling mistakes(I’m romainian)

When I realised I had been smoking for over 20 years, I just knew I had to stop. I had tried before but just couldn’t seem to sustain it. I went to the Allen Carr Clinic in London on 22nd October 2009 and even during the session, I wasn’t sure if I was able to do it. But, nearly 5 months later, I have still not touched a cigarette and have no intention of doing so. My life has felt so much better since I stopped smoking. I can’t say how or why it worked, but it did and I haven’t looked back since!

I started smoking when I was 14 years old (peer pressure). I recall that dreadful day so vividly. I was so sick after that I didn’t at all relate it to those dreadful cigarettes that we had as I’d seen so many other smokers, family and friends, who didn’t roll around in bed feeling sick after puffing on cigarettes. How stupid was that!!!

Anyway, going into my 30’s, the urge would always be there to quit smoking. Simply because, I was quite an active person, but I was starting to feel the effects of all those years of smoking. Being lethargic, breathless, can’t be bothered attitude yet desperately feeling like I couldn’t be without ‘ciggies’.

Six years ago I was gifted with Allen Carrs Easyway to Stop Smoking Method Book.
I had made numerous attempts to read the book, but I guess I wasn’t quite ready at that time. Even, when the feedback was all positive, I couldn’t bring myself to read the book – until just recently. What’s funny is, it had always been a goal of mine, one I felt was probably going to be life changing for me. I had been preparing for quite some time. I had set my date which was in fact going to be my birthday. So I started reading the book, with the mindset that this book had especially been written for me and that at the end of this book, I would see messages that would be life changing and enriching because I deserve it. It turns out, I quit before my birthday come around. So very proud to be a non-smoker, and as a non-smoker, every day should be celebrated like its your birthday…cos it’s like a rebirth…

i put out my last cig at 1:30 pm pacific time on february 18th. today is march 2nd and i have been able to get through the worst with your method. the most impressive part about it was that i have an axiety related disorder that was made extremely bad by quitting. so really quitting was not easy for me, but in spite of the terrible condition i was in for the first few days, i was still able to do it by reminding myself of the points you made in your book. i am proof that anyone can quit useing easyway. it is likely that it was more distressing and harder for me than most people due to a disorder that is quite terrifying, and was exacerbated by quitting, yet i still did it. so i guess the only thing left to say is, YIPPEE, I’M A NON-SMOKER!!!

I was so sick of smoking and didn’t know it until I read the book. I was a smoker for 31 years, 2 weeks after my 47 birthday I had a massive heart attack and had to have a defibrillator/pacemaker inserted to keep my heart beating. My Dr. said you have to quit smoking. 2 days after being released from the hospital I was sneaking puffs like a criminal until I was back up to a pack a day again. I told myself everyday how STUPID are you and couldn’t get away from them. I tried everything to stop; Chantix, nicotene patches, spray, & gum. Then I talked to a friend who said, Oh you have to read this book… I ordered ‘The easyway to stop smoking’ from the local library and it sat on my coffee table for a week, then I read it in 3 evenings and couldn’t wait to finish it so I could be free at last. That was only 2 weeks ago but I can tell you I will NEVER go back to being a slave to nicotene and the control it had in my life. Now my goal is to encourage everyone I know who smokes to read this book! I tell them nothing will force you to and no-one can make you do it, but you. Thank-you Allen Carr for the EASYWAY.
Sincerely, Dawna

Hi, i heard about your books through my sisters friends and as i had tried to stop smoking too many times to count i thought i could give the book a try as i had nothing else to lose.As i was reading the book i kept thinking to myself that there wasnt anything special aboutthe book as all it was doing was trying to change my way of thinking and that there was no way this would be able to help me stop smoking. But i stuck to my task as i had smoked for 15 years and knew it was doing me harm along with my fiancee and kids,I put out my last cigarette after finishing the book and to my amazement, not only did I stop smoking but i never ever had 1 withdrawl pang, i have absolutely loved life since i stopped and cannot believe how stupid i was to have smoked for so long when it has been so easy to stop. I have been recommending these books to everyone i meet and have also emailed certain governing bodies about this unbelievabley easy way to stop smoking and urged them to take notwe and to please put it into practice instead of wasting money on the usless substitues that dont work or have u addicted to something else to get you away from the cigarettes, I thank the phenomenon who is Allen Carr for opening my eyes and giving me a new lease of life. I have just found my receipt and guarantee for attending the stop smoking clinic in Birmingham!!! It is dated 12.01.2001. I was a dedicated 40 a day smoker!! Nothing and no-one could persuade me to stop!! I actually loved smoking, and I only came to accompany a friend, didn’t think for a minute it would work…and as I could get my money back I was happy. I HAVE NOT SMOKED SINCE THAT DAY , had no cravings, and I thank Allen Carr every day!!! I am so amazed that it has been 9 whole years!
I persuaded my brother to come to you, and it worked for him too!!

I started smoking when I was only 14 years old. I perhaps didnt start off
with smoking many a day but my habit developed and over time I would
easily have 5 to 10 a day. Smoking during my social hours went through the roof up to 20-30 in one single evening!
At the age of 28 I had tried perhaps twice properly to quit before and was growing more and more aware of contstant coughs, bad throats, colds and flu!
I read “The easy way” and followed all of its instructions. It made me
feel like I hadn´t actually ever sat and thought about my smoking before.
It made me look at it in a completley different light and then I suddenly realised that I wasnt addicted to it at all.
the feeling of fear of not having a back up packet of cigarretts in my
purse when I left the house was no longer there. I had never realised or perhaps wanted to realise quite how much it had dominated my life. I felt very foolish that I had spent so much of my life being dictacted to by
cigarretts and the fact I had put my own health at risk for so long!
So I am now a non smoker and have been for over a year and a half now. If ever my friends talk about quitting I always tell them there is no better
way to give up, and I would normally never recomend anything to anyone, but feel that if one more person can be free of cigarretts then it is justified in bringing it up.

Many thanks to all that have contributed towards bringing a cure to so many peoples lives.

I am a 73 year old male who unknowingly was a smoker that was not smoking. I had not smoked for 13 years with a previous period in my life of 18 years without smoking but often remarking during the none smoking period how nice a cigar or a puff on a pipe would be.

My son’s partner bought me a copy of the book and I thought I should at least read it. I did with interest and it changed me I am now a non smoker who has previously smoked.

It is an excellent book and I shall advise any smoker expressing wish to stop to get a copy post- haste.

I started smoking when I was 13 (I’m now 46) and have more or less smoked 20 a day since. I’ve given up smoking more times than I can remember but always started again (even in spite of nearly dying from a smoking-related disease in 1996). It’s only been 2 days but this time I know it’s different. Thank you so much.

By the way, why don’t governments distribute a free copy of Allen Carr’s book to everyone buying a packet of cigarettes on national ‘No Smoking Days’? Surely it would be more effective!

I recently stopped smoking using the easyway. I have to say that i was a big skeptic. I had no luck whatsoever using the willpower method, having tried stopping atleast 30 times throughout my 12 year smoking endeavor. I heard of the book through a friend and thought what the hell. I hadn’t read a book since high school, but thought what better book to start the trend of reading than a self help book. I read the book, followed the steps and by the end of the book i truly felt it would be easy to stop smoking with the knowledge of the smoking trap i had aquired. I have been smoke free for over three weeks now and it was EASY. Now that i’ve stopped smoking and my health is my number one priority i’m taking this book back to the library to exchange it for “Allen Carr’s easy weigh to lose weight”. Thank you very much for saving my health and money.

I have been smoking for about 3 years, i know its not long at all compared to some but i had been trying to quit on and off for the last 2 years, i tried everything, eventually i tried cutting down and for the last 2 months i had been on 1-2 smokes a day and i thought that was pretty good in my mind but i was lying to myself because no matter how hard i tried i couldnt completely beat it. I finished Allen Carr’s book two days ago and it has completely opened my mind and changed my perspective on smoking forever. i know now that I will never put a filthy smoke in my mouth again. i live with two smokers who are very skeptical of me (i guess because they have heard me say i’ve quit smoking on countless times before)i have convinced one of them to read the book and i hope the other is not too far off. Thank you Allen Carr. I cannot express how much you have helped me

I started smoking just as Allen describes it in the book – as a teenager, trying to be cool, and forcing myself to like it. Before I knew it, 15 years had passed and I’d tried to quit atleast 5 times (unsuccessfully). Quitting has ALWAYS been on my mind, and I never liked being a smoker in the first place. I hated smelling gross and knew that my mouth tasted like an ashtray. I heard about his book from a friend and went out and bought it last weekend. I read the whole thing in 2 days and quit smoking last Monday (2/15/10). It’s only been 7 days since I quit, but I feel fantastic! What a liberating feeling to be done with those nasty cigarettes. And, everyone keeps asking me if I quit “cold turkey” but I didn’t even think about it that way because I’m just ridding my body of the disgusting nicotine instead of replacing it with something else. YES, I quit “cold turkey” and FEEL GREAT!!!! This book is a lifesaver and Allen Carr is a genius for shedding the glorious light on saving ourselves from this drug called nicotine. Thank you Allen and may you rest in peace. :)

Before I had even finished the book I was confidently telling my friends that I was never going to smoke another cigarette. After seeing me try and fail previously they were dubious about my success. Well I can report that 13 years later I have not once been tempted, not once craved or missed cigarettes and cannot imagine that I ever will. A wonderful book that changed my life. Dear Allen,
I smoked for fifty years and had “given up” on three occasions; once for seven months. I began reading your book on my 64th birthday and reached the “smoke your last cigarette” chapter at 11:30 pm the next day. I followed your instructions to the letter and was so confident that I promised my non-smoking wife I would never smoke another cigarette. Now, six days later, I have no desire to smoke; the little nicotine monster is dead; my family are delighted and I am a happy non-smoker. I expected a book of pseudo-science and discovered common sense and a unique approach. I shall be forever grateful.

Unfortunatley I fell back into the trap, when i lost my partner of seven years to a sudden death. I smoked for a year and remembered the vow I had made to myself. I then bought the audiobook and once again, stopped as soon as i finished it. Very little pangs and no effort. Iknow i have stopped smoking for the rest of my life.
To anyone with any doubts this is the easiest way in the world to stop, no efort required just you and the ability to listen or read!
To allen and his amazing staff I owe my happy non-smoking future,

I was given this book by my old employer who offered to buy any smokers who were thinking of quitting a copy, I started to read the book nearly four years ago and after feeling it start to work I put it back on the shelf and picked up my Martina Cole instead, my Grandad is in his final stages of lung cancer and my father had re-occuring strokes, both due to smoking, I know that is all I have to look forward to if I continue and it isn’t something I want my daughter to witness as I have, I have smoked since I was 12 and will give my ‘little monster’ his last supper once I have written to you, I already don’t want to smoke anymore but I am going to do it properly, on Friday I spent my usual fag break sat having a coffee and a giggle with my work mates I didn’t even notice that I had not had a smoke! Thank-you for showing me the way!
