In April 2006 my husband, a heavy smoker and drinker, was diagnoised with both liver and lung cancer. He was given 3 months. Almost 4 months later he passed away at age 48 leaving behind a young family. I started smoking in 1977 and would go to bed every single night wishing i had the strength to not smoke the next morning. Christmas 2006 a friend mentioned Allen’s book (I had never heard of it before). By the end of 2006 I had purchased a copy of the book and although it took a few weeks to read I have finally finished the book and have not had a smoke for 5 days now. Even by just purchasing the book my desire to smoke had dimished somewhat and the more of the book i read the less I was smoking. Don’t know how it happened but it did and I know that I will continue to be a non-smoker.

I have already recommended the book to friends and have given my copy to my 21 year old son.

I was very sorry to hear of Allen’s death and my heart goes to his family and all those who knew him.

May many more people discover this wonderful book – let the avalanche begin.

I am so sorry that Allen has passed away. I wanted to thank him for saving my life. Not only has his method helped me to stop smoking cigarettes, but also to stop drinking and taking drugs. I will be forever grateful to him. Rest in peace, you wonderful, wonderful man.

It is now 9 months since I have had a cigarette thanks to Allen Carr’s book. It was amazing and I thank him everyday with a little prayer.

I will be eternally grateful to him and have introduced others to his book.

I have smoked 20 cigarettes a day for 30 years, I am now 45. I started reading allens book in sept. 06, it took me 4 months to complete basically because I lost it during a house move but I also think because of his explanation of the fear of giving up. I finished the book at 6pm on 1st of January and apart from the occasional small urge from ‘the nicotine demon’ know I will never smoke again. It really was easy!! I have tried to stop 100’s of times. The book should be available on prescription!!!!!!!!!!!!! My freinds and family are amazed, thankyou thankyou thankyou

I attended Allen Carr’s clinic in Sydney Australia, on the 9th of September 2006…

I can blissfully report that I am still and will always be a non smoker! Woohooo!

I came home from the clinic and smiled at my wife and announced:”I will never put those evil things in my mouth again! And I have never been so happy to say it”. It really was quite an emotional moment. I have no shame in saying I cried with happiness all the way home in the car. I knew it was the start of something, not the end.

What I find key; is that I haven’t given up anything! What I did do, was choose a better life. No longer does my wife recoil at the smell of me. More hugs and kisses!! The list of benefits is endless.

My friends and family were sceptical at first because they could not believe how easy it was for me. “One day clinic and you’re cured? Yeah right!”

Yes, one day and you can start celebrating straight away. I went straight home and cracked the champagne.

I had quite a few supposed friends say directly to me – “we’ll see, I bet you’re back on them in a month”. Wrong again.

Thanks Natalie (the facilitator) and Allen. You were involved in one of the landmark days in my life. I am very proud of myself for making the choice to attend your clinic.

My deepest sympathies go to Allen’s family for their recent loss. He has saved so many lives through his work and they must be very proud of him. May he rest in peace.

Today is my first day of freedom from the nicotine. I’m already loving it and I have made a brilliant poster of my nicotine monster that I look at if I’m feeling obsessed. In fact he has made his way round the office to other smokers who have put him up too!

Dear Allen,
I just want to Thank you for giving me the best gift ever!! Since reading your book – I have not had 1 cigarette nor really ever had the desire for one. I am a mother of 2 and desperately wanted to quit, not only for my health but for my kids!!
I tried the will power, patch, gum – the whole bit – but until reading your book was really able to achieve my goal.
So Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I can only hope and pray that my loved ones that are still smoking will listen to me and read your book!
You and your family are in our prayers. Thank You – Stephanie

I attented your clinic in london and after 2 weeks I have become a different person, realising what I have been missing for 20 years. I cannot describe with words how I feel and how trully happy I am. One last thing to say:
“Allen Carr you have earned your wings for giving such a great gift to the human beeings.Thank you from the bottom of my heart and enjoy your eternal life”

1 month, 5 days and I think I’m having my moment of realization. I have to say that while reading the book (and even after I quit for the first week maybe) I felt some of the content of the book was exaggeration…but more and more I’m realizing everything is real and it feels so great. Especially in the areas of confidence, ability to cope with stress, calmness, and more every day. I can only imagine how Mr. Carr felt when reading testimonials and I can only hope that the profession I choose in life can be so fulfilling to myself and others. RIP

I actually quit two days before reading your book. I first have to say I give credit to God and then you (that’s not bad) If I didn’t read your book I would be on the way to the mental hospital. He has put every scenario in the book that happens to us. I also actually think in a way the book is based on a hypnotic theory because he is reversing the brainwashing – I still have a long way to go – On my fourth day – and I know it’s going to be tuff but I will have my strength from God and absolutely read his book like it is the Bible on not smoking – He is brilliant and I know this is a major part of what is helping me.
I repeat alot of the scenarios in my head that I have read about .

I can’t thank you enough

I successfully stopped smoking just over a week ago. I know it’s not long at this stage, but having attempted to give up before, I now realise that this is completely different. I have Allen’s ‘little book of Quitting’ by my side at all times, just to reiterate his message – ‘Wow, I’m a non-smoker’ and I really don’t want another cigarette. I feel better, smell fresher, get lots more work done, I’m less stressed, sleep better – can’t thank Allen and his legacy enough for getting me here. Have been recommending the ‘Easyway’ to everyone who still smokes as the only way.
Kind regards,

Hi

I just finished reading Allens book 24 hours ago! I can’t believe the outcome. I am so happy to be a non-smoker. I feel great. I have spent the last 15 years addicted. When I was 27 I have two blood clots and still continued. I was starting to resign myself to thinking that I would be a smoker til I died, but now I am free and it’s great. Every 7 quid is going in a jar towards the a new car. I also recently read about Allen’s death and am sorry for his loss. He has helped so many just like me! I will always be grateful to him and his Easyway.

Thanks Allen

Today, I smoked my final cig and while I was doing it, I was coughing and choking and thankful that it is the last one I will ever smoke. I was saddened though that when I logged on to this site to learn of Allens passing, but without his life experience and work, I would probably have been a smoker for my entire life. When I get to heaven, I want to shake his hand and personaly thank him, because there is no doubt in my mind that because of his work that is where he is. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU ALLEN CARR!!!!!

It was a tragedy Allen Carr was taken by cancer but his books and works live on – the books do offer “a different approach – a stunning success” the books do offer the “way to stop smoking permanently”. You do not have to rely on willpower, his method works. How do I know? Well Yippee I am (now) a non-smoker. No withdrawals, no ‘replacements’ and now no desire. God bless you Allen Carr.
A friend I used to have a cigarette with first told me of the book – the friend just stopped smoking. It took me a while to read the book and I did slow down when I neared the time for my last cigarette but when I got there I stopped – and it was (and is) so easy.
More power to his method.
With thanks.

I started smoking when I was 15. Since the age of 18 (I am now 36) I have tried everything to stop. Zyban, hypnotherapy (6 sessions in all with four different therapists), patches, gum and the misery of the will-power method. The longest I stopped was 3 months. During my last attempt my doctor recommended that I meet with a local chemist once a week – they would offer me support whilst I also used the nicotine patches. The chemist, after a five-minute consultation, told me that I was not addicted to nicotine but a slave to the habit. All I had to do was change my routine. I managed to get through the day but would remove the patch at night and smoke all evening. After two weeks (and two meetings) the chemist told me to give up and come back in six months and we’d give it another go. Two friends went to an Allen Carr clinic as heavy smokers and came away happy non-smokers. I bought the book and I must admit that I read it twice before the message sank in. Having read the book I find it easy to understand why so many fail without it, especially after my experience with the NHS. I am now a very happy non-smoker thanks to Allen Carr. If I had been aware of him earlier I could have stopped smoking years ago. God only knows how much unnecessary damage I have done to my body. Easyway should be advertised daily on national tv instead of pompous idiots telling smokers how bad it is for them, confirming what they already know and frightening them into smoking more!

Greetings from Portugal!

I’ve come to thank Allen for having fought for our liberation, it’s my first day without smoking and I feel like I don’t need it anymore, when all my previous tries were a huge sacrifice. It’s my first day but I know I’ll succeed. It’s tragic that he’s died like that. I hope people continue to read his book to become free. I’ll write again when I complete three weeks. Thanks a lot!

I have been smoking since I was 17 (12 years). Previously I had tried giving up twice. Once on the tablets and once on the patches (eventually, I began smoking again). I was off and on over Christmas and New Year again with the patches, but it felt like such a struggle.
I decided to read my boyfriends copy of Allen’s book recently, and it took me less than a day to read. I couldn’t put it down. Even though everything Allen says is common sense and nothing you don’t already know – for some reason it clicks into place when you read it in his words. As soon as I completed the book, I stopped getting the cravings. I actually have no urge to ever smoke again. When I had given up before, I couldn’t stop thinking about cigarettes, now I have read the book I haven’t really given them a second thought, other than to say ‘Wow, I haven’t thought about cigarettes for a while now’.
Allen was right, it’s not difficult at all, you just have to be determind that your last one really is your last. Thanks Allen.

PS. I was so sorry to hear of Allen’s passing, and my thoughts are with Allen’s family. From everything I read about him, he enjoyed life to the full, and helped many many people where the government and medical practices could not. A true hero of our time.

First off I’d like to express my condolences to the friends and family of Allen Carr. His passing is a great loss to mankind!

I used the Easyway method last new year to quit smoking and am proud to say I have been smoke free ever since. I tried many ways to give up the evil weed but this book changed my whole outlook. Almost as though it brainwashed away the brainwashing of thinking I needed to smoke!!

I still find it astonishing that official organisations and the government ignore this as a credible method. Insane!!

I would advise any smoker to give this way a chance, it’s so easy. ;)

This year I shall be reading the weightloss book! :D

Thank you Allen and may you rest in peace.

I stopped smoking several months ago after reading Allan Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking. I smoked 30 a day for 25 years and stopped with hardly a withdrawl pang, it really was that easy and I feel 20 years younger. I kept waiting to feel grumpy, miserable and bad tempered as I had done with previous attempts using nicotine patches, chewing gum etc, but nothing happened. I feel really happy. Infact much happier than when I smoked. I decided to try the book after several people I know stopped smoking using Alan’s method. It really does work. It is an absolute disgrace that the government does not take notice. I have recently written to a national newspaper who were advising people on how to stop smoking for the new year and stated NRT OR ZYBAN as being the only methods that really work. I was so angry and wonder if the doctor that wrote that article has ever smoked himself. Probably not. Anyway, I dont know if it has done any good but I’m on a mission now!

Dear Allen,
I want to sencerelly thank you for the book. I am simply happy to stop, to realise that smoking is the most disguisting thing that I could do to myself and tasting how horrible my last sigarette was.
For years I have been pressured into quitting, but I did not. My entire family tried ti make me stop, but I still went on smoking. I had problems getting up, and falling asleep, I had problems getting to my apartment on the third floor. Now, having quit, i feel that I could do anything, however hard it might seem.
Thank you

I was a committed 20ish a day smoker for about 34 years, until I stopped on 11 December 2006 having read Allen’s Easyway for Women. I happily survived numerous Christmas parties, get-togethers, including New Year in the house of my best friend of many years(an equally committed smoker). I am so happy to be free, I hope she reads the copy that I left for her! Thank you.

I had smoked since I was 11years old.
Tragically, before that I was one of those kids who joined the ‘Nic-O-Teen’ crusade of the eighties-where schools supply kids with info on the hazards of smoking and then the kids run about annoying smoking adults by telling them how wrong it is!
I am 34 now and until just over a week ago, I had been on 25-30 a day (Not counting the 60 on nights-out!).
I had never in all these years managed to stop for more than a few hours-I’d even take the patches off to have a fag!!!!
I started reading ‘The Easy Way’ in June ‘06 on the recommendation of a friend (who stopped smoking!).
I got about halfway through and then stopped reading as I thought I wasn’t ready for the ‘dreaded day’!
I picked the book up again in December and finished it (by coincidence)on 1st Jan.
It’s now been one week since I stopped and I cannot express how easy I am finding it.
I realise it’s only one week but I was smoking 25-30 a day for 23 years.
I feel marvelous and like a completely new person.
I know that I will never smoke again.

Thank You, Allen.
I am so sorry to hear of Allen’s passing. My condolances go to his family and friends. He will be remebered by many and I, for one, will be sure to keep his memory alive by making sure every smoker I know is aware of this book.

I thought I’d never see like the light for the smoke but I have. I was extremely pesimistic about the ‘easyway’ which was recommended by a good friend of mine. I should have have more faith in him! I have never had a situation in my life which has changed my thought process so quickly and clearly. Smokers – you need to read this book! Every reason why you wouldn’t want to read it, is exactly the reason to do so!
