We are a newly wed couple, who just finished your book “The Easy Way To Stop Smoking”. It is amazing! We also just read that Allen Carr died last year. We were both horrified hearing that, and it really made us think! We are so happy that we quit the nasty cigarettes in our relatively young ages.
We think that EASYWAY is the absolutely best way to stop smoking. We have both tried various ways of quitting the cigarettes, and we both have a feeling that EASYWAY is the ONLY WAY!!! We highly recommend EASYWAY to anyone who think it is difficult to quit smoking. It is NOT difficult at all…
Thank you Allen, and all the best to all of you smokers out there who whish to quit the stupid fags…

Hi,
I just wanted to tell you it worked for me! I am a 34 year old female, I had smoked since I was sixteen years old. I had tried patches, gum, Zyban, prayer, everything! This is the easiest way and I really am done for good. I don’t have the desire to smoke at all. It’s been over two months so far. Thank you so much Allen Carr! I hope you know, wherever you may be, that you have helped so many.

I used to smoke but after a friend and I were in the bookstore and he looked up on his reminder of books to look into when in a bookstore next. He and I went over to get the book and I decided to pick it up myself, thinking this book would do nothing for me…..was I ever wrong!
I loved the book, it was great and I smoked all the way through it. I no longer ever want to have another cigarette ever again. I am no longer a smoker and neither is my friend!

After smoking 20-40 a day for 22 years I gave up smoking on August 1st after reading the Easyway to Stop Smoking. It has been easy. It remains easy. I will never smoke again. I tried many times to quit before and was resigned to being a smoker for the rest of my life. Thank you thank you thank you for giving me back my life.

I have been smoke free for 17 days, since reading Allen Carr’s Easy Way To Stop Smoking. I am of Maori descent from New Zealand where Maori women feature the highest in our country for smoking, a sad but true statistical fact. Purchasing Allan’s book was by far the best $29.00 i have ever spent and although i have only been smokefree for 17 days i know that i am truly free forever of being a slave to nicotine. I had been a smoker for 30 years and never even thought that i could give it up i thought being smoke free was a dream that somebody like me could only think about. I will forever be grateful to Allen Carr and his wisdom. He is a precious gift to this world and most certainly to me and my current freedom and dream of being smokefree is now a reality. I am now reading his book on the Easyweigh to lose weight and will keep you all posted on this exciting development in my life.

Hello,
Allen Carr freed me from smoking, but of much more, too. Not only did I happily give up smoking without ever regretting it for one minute, but his philosophy can be applied to all bad habits, not just smoking. For me, it was a great victory! Thank you.

I stopped after reading Allen’s “Only Way To Stop Smoking Permanently” – well it was the same price as EASYWAY and it looked like it had more words !!!
The best book I have ever read. No other book has changed my life and turned it round completely.
At every opportunity if someone asks about stopping smoking or realises that I used to smoke an ounce of rolling tobacco a day, I mention Allen’s books.
I wish I could have met him before he was taken away, but somehow I felt I knew him, as through the book realised we had so many shared experiences through our previous addiction.

A half and half story this time. I refused to read a book, point-blank. I chose another method with a non-NRT ingredient. It worked but on the 5th day my wife gave me the EASYWAY book. If I had have accepted the book straight away I would have saved myself more money and fully realised why quitting is so very easy. The book has cleared all unanswered questions and removed the fear of never smoking again. Thank you Allen – I am now off to sign the SCANDAL cause.

I started smoking at the age of 15, now at the age of 31 have finally stopped smoking for good. I bought Allen’s book after my sister stopped smoking using his method. I read the book as soon as it arrived, at times it made me laugh out loud, I just sat nodding at his words, everything seemed to make sense, he is the first person I have ever listened to in respect of stopping smoking and why not, he was an expert, having smoked more in a day than some of us managed in a week!
Allen’s approach is full of common sense, common sense smokers hide from, he dispels the myth that stopping smoking is some form of mental torture, get over that aspect and the rest is a breeze. There have been times when I have experienced a nagging feeling, my reaction, soak up a bit more common sense from Allens book. For the first week it came everywhere with me, not any more – I feel totally free, but it’s in a drawer in case it’s needed, a ‘fag’ will never take it’s place.
I was gutted to find out that Allen had died, but surely his passing due to lung cancer, is his final and absolute lesson to us all.. his final dose of common sense, what a clever man he was.

My wife purchased your Easy Way book on CD a couple months ago. When I found out about it I literally laughed in her face, which I might add made her quite furious with me. I said “there’s no way a CD/Book can help you to quit smoking”, me being on of those very strong willed people you had talked about in the book, I had quit many times over, at that point I was only smoking 1-2 cigarettes per day and would proclaim it to anyone who would listen. I had will power, I could go without cigarettes for days at a time if needed. My wife on the other hand is one of those women who quit cigarettes while with child only to light up the second our beautiful daughter was born, well maybe not that quickly but you get my point. I had continually harped on her to quit, but I was completely amused by the idea of a CD that would help you quit smoking. My wife listened to the first chapter or two and said she thought it was really going to help her quit, but then she stopped listening. I happened to be driving to Detroit from Chicago for a buisness trip about one month ago. Being that the backwoods Michiana radio stations aren’t quite my style I decided to pop in you Easy Way book on CD to see what it’s all about… I nearly finished all five CD’s before the time I arrived in Detroit. I spent the week expalining to my smoking colleagues that I had listened to your book. They all scoffed at the idea especially since I claimed to be nearly done with the book, but I continued to chain smoke(yes although most days I only smoke 1-2, on other days I would smoke a pack esily). On the way home I listened to the end of the book and almost majically I did not want to smoke. It was a simple as that… I am 28 years old and have smoke for the last 15 years, over 1/2 of my life. You book undid 15 years of brain washing… For this I thank you. I thank you for my health now and in the future. I thank you for saving me from that look of dissapointment from my daughter that I surely would have received should I have continued to smoke as she matured. Thank you for providing me with a tool that I can promote to my friends and colleagues… I truly hope they take the time to listen. As I said it just that easy, listen to the CD and your a nonsmoker.

A friend turned me on to EasyWay as an audio book (5 CD’s). He had listened to them every day during an hour commute to work, and had quit smoking. After about 5 weeks, I finally caught on to how happy my friend was as a non-smoker, and he reached out to me about listening to the CD’s myself. I gave the usual excuses and was not “ready to quit”. His one instruction: “I’m not asking you to quit, I’m asking you to listen to the CD’s and be honest with yourself.” Which I finally did. I am on my fourth week as a happy non-smoker.
I have recently realized that I simply will not ever smoke again, and it is wonderful to be free of the slavery. I have noticed that my skin has color and I no longer have bags under my eyes (which I had blamed on fatigue and stress). I am able to handle stress better and the headaches that had become far too common, are little more than a bad memory. I feel healthier and happier every single day.
Allen had not only realized how to get into the perfect frame of mind to make stopping smoking easy and enjoyable, but he had also learned how to communicate it to anyone who truly wanted to listen. Thank you EasyWay!!!!

I started reading The Only Way to Quit Smoking Permanently on Thursday afternoon the 16th of August and was very skeptical. I had been a smoker for 16 years, from 17 years old until now at age 33, and have tried everything to quit and thought yeah right like a book can work.
By Friday afternoon I was on page 272 and just wanted to make it through another 100 pages before sleeping, I knew at this point that when I finished the book I would be a non smoker, but I fell asleep. I finished reading the book on Saturday evening after work. I have not picked up a cigarette since and I never will again.
Thank you Allen you have changed my life.

Hello,
I had stopped smoking for a day, and looking kind of “I’m not sure I like this” when my colleague recommended ordering “The Easy Way To Stop Smoking”.
Awaiting delivery of the Dutch version, he gave me “The Little Book of Quitting” and that is already amazing! A real eye-opener.
I know I will never smoke again, but I do feel I need to read the texts repeatedly, cause it is just so contrary to what you have always believed. But you know Carr is right!

I stopped smoking 6 and a half years ago using Allen Carr’s method and have never looked back. I remember immediately feeling how easy it really was and also feeling a bit of a fool for ever having been ‘addicted’ to something I never enjoyed doing. For the last few years I have had the same dissatisfaction with drinking and a couple of years ago bought the book Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Control Alcohol. When I read the book then, I didn’t feel the same way as when I read The Easy Way to Stop Smoking and didn’t see it through. So I’ve continued to drink the over last couple of years and have not enjoyed one glass of wine or one gin and tonic. Again I got to the point of extreme dissatisfaction and reread the Easy Way To Control Alcohol and feel so liberated that I never again have to do what I don’t enjoy doing – no matter what anyone says. I logged onto the website to tell you of this and have seen that Allen Carr has passed away. I am very saddened that such an amazing man is gone, but thank you Allen and all your therapists for everything you do.

Hello.
I didn’t even read the book. I answered 20 questions on the blue web page (not sure if it still exists), but they were apparently from the book. I used to smoke 20 a day for 30 years, and quit just like that. I’ll never ever take another sigarette in my life. This is almost 4 years ago, and I never missed it.

I thought I would finally write and express my gratitude to the Alan Carr method of stopping smoking.
I attended the session with some reservations, about 7 months ago, as most smokers probably would. All I can say is I cannot believe how I stopped and how easy it was. I would have to be honest and say i had very very small cravings the first day and then after that, nothing. No withdrawals whatsoever. My fiance is happy and everybody at works keep saying how easy I did it and i just keep saying, I KNOW!!
Thank you once again, The ability to call myself a non smoker and be FREE is amazing and I owe it all to the method! If you are skeptical, Don’t be because it is one of the best things you will do!

I’m Italian, I got the book by chance last year but never seriously read it before this summer.
I can still remember me forbidding myself to open it again at the time, because for the very few pages I had read, I could already felt that something was telling me “hey, with this book you will definitely stop smoking”.
That pervert thought was what made me stop reading the book.
But this summer everything is working !!
I’ve read the last page on Monday night(2 days ago) while smoking my last cigarette. Following what Allen suggests, I said to myself “THIS IS THE LAST ONE, AND THIS TIME IS FOR REAL. IT GAVES ME NOTHING, I MUST DO IT FOR MYSELF !”.
That damned little cilindre filled with those fucking toxic substances that I had stupidly and meaninglessly loved and enjoyed for at least a dozen years was saying to me goodbye. FOR EVER.
I know, it’s only 2 days, but I’m 110% that I will never smoke again for the rest of my life.
I’ve never felt so certain of something than what I’m now about this.
Thank you so indeed to Allen and to the magazine Focus, which enclosed the book that I bought last year.

Five years ago I smoked my last cigarette. Since then I have taken up cycling and have competed in 5 endurance events, something I never thought I was capable of as a smoker. I am fitter and leaner now than I was through the 20 years that I smoked. Before I found Allen Carr’s system I had tried to quit so many times it became a joke but after reading Allens book, I quit and have never touched another cigarette again.

I thought, it will lose the main idea after it was translated in russian.NO! IT WORKS!!! It’s INTERNATIONAL book!
Now I’m reading the next book and I’m sure, IT WORKS!!!
Ben Brooks said,
I got the book on the 1st of August. Finished it around midnight on the 2nd. Had the last cigarette and knew within 20 minutes that I’d never smoke again. And I haven’t and won’t. I’d smoked from 14 to 28 and “given up” many times in them years. But this time “stopping” was so easy and so final. I do like saying “I’ve escaped” or “I’ve freed myself from the slavery” ha ha ha!!!
The only downer was my mate knew instantly after his last cigarette (he read the book the month before me) that he’d never smoke again so my 20 minutes was a bit lame.
Anyway amazing book. I’ve been loving it in the pub as the only non-smoker. I live in Japan where you can smoke anywhere. Thing is, I totally hadn’t planned to stop because cigarettes are only about £1.50 out here so the cost was nothing after paying over £5.00 before. Still “Nothing To Lose” as my mate kept telling me. The rest is history.
I instantly phoned my family in England and told them I’d stopped and to buy the book. My mum said “but I like smoking”. And my dad said “I only smoke in the evenings”. And my brother had been given a copy last xmas but had never read it. He too “loves a grott”.
Fingers crossed they’ve read or started reading the book. I’ve also made all my smoking mates “aware” of the book and, like my mate said to me, said to them “Nowt to lose, init?”
Thanks again for the amazing book. Allen’s amazing legacy will live on and on.
Finally YIPPEE!!! I’M A NON SMOKER!

Dear Allen,
I’m 34 years old, I read your book back in 2001 and I have been meaning to write to thank you ever since! I have been smoke free since reading your book and I am so grateful to you for giving me my life back. I smoked between 10-20 cigarettes a day.
Your book was fun to read and I was so excited about being free at the end of it. I couldn’t wait to finish the book and be a NON-SMOKER! I have given this book to many people, I know some will not read it, but those who have were able to quit easily.
I’m pregnant now and I’m so overjoyed I don’t have to be worried about “giving up” and needing a ciggie all the time. I’m also happy I won’t be smoking after the birth and my kids won’t grow up to think smoking is normal.
You are a life saver. Thank you!

It’s 11 months to the day I went to Allen Carr in Birmingham and I have not had a single cigarette or cigar in all that time. It worked wonderfully for me. The first few days were just a little difficult, because of all the occasions when I’d normally smoke, but not nearly as bad as you expect. I keep meeting people who tell me “I’ve tried the Allen Carr book and it didn’t work…”, but I always tell them they must try the clinic – just reading isn’t the same thing as participating in something. Anyway – 8,375 thanks (and counting).

I have tried on 6 different occassions to stop smoking using different types of NRT,they would work for a while but when the course had finished I would go back to smoking, infact I never really stopped craving for a cigarette.I was browsing in a book store 2 weeks ago when I came across one of Allan Carrs books ‘The only way to stop smoking permanently’ Thought i’de give it a go, didn’t seem a lot to splash out,Istarted to read the book on the way home one the bus, couldn’t put it down. I liked the idea that you wasn’t expected to give up the cigs untill you understood what Allan was saying through the book. There was no point in fooling yourself, skipping pages ETC. I have not smoked for 9 days now with the willpower method,I have followed Allans thought patterns and I must say it’s been the easiest quit I have been through. I do get the little monster creep up and give me a prod sometimes but I understand now how the addiction was controlling me and what a stupid little thing it was. Thankyou for the truth
