Could not WAIT to finish the book this afternoon and just put out that final cigarette, after many failed attempts to quit over the years.
37 years of 2-3 packs daily and this is all it took? When I snuffed out that last one, I cried with joy knowing that I’m finally killing the monster!
I’ve never before been able to vow never to smoke again, but found that I actually can, having followed the directions.
Yippee!! I’m a nonsmoker! I’ll be back at some point in the future to show y’all, but this time is definitely it!

Hello Allen and team!
I want to thank you for the book I finally finished in one day! I’ve tried to read it twice, but never finished (scary scary when you feel the effect before you really are ready!). Now I finished, and I knew that you were talking to me everytime these positive “hurray, you’re finally a happy non-smoker”-sentences finished each chapter. I felt a blush coming up, and a warm feeling of finally being able to breath completely!
YES! FINALLY I’M FREE !!! THANK YOU :)

Hei Allan,
Your book is brilliant. It has helped me twice already, but this time I have absolutely taken my last sigarette. The urge has gone away now after 4 weeks. And you were right, it was really easy compared to what one thinks. But I still have nightmares that I’m smoking. I recommend you book to all my smoking friends. The only thing I missed in your book was a chapter for hash smokers who wants to quit nicotin.

What an amazing achievement! I’m 19 years old and I started smoking when I was just 16. I suffered infection after infection in these 3 years but I was never able to stay cigarette-free. An ex-smoker friend of mine recomended me the Easyway book and I couldn’t wait to put out that last cigarette! I’ve already been a week free and I can’t believe the change in myself, Allen was right – life is much more enjoyable without that poison in your lungs.
I only today read that Allen had passed away last year due to lung cancer – it came as a shock indeed. His death from a smoking related disease has only acted as further motivation to spread his word & fulfil the vow I made with that last cigarette. He’s an inspiration and his legacy will live on. Thankyou Allen for making all the difference!!!

I thought I was doomed and you helped me see the light. I’m now smoke free and have the rest of my life to look forward to and be healthy. I can’t believe it was so easy and the solution was right there in front of me the whole time.
I even gave the book to my old man who stopped smoking too. He’s been smoking for 40 years and has been trying to stop for as long as I can remember. Look, I’m not in any way religious, but if ever there was someone who deserved to be a Saint for saving lives, it was you.
RIP mate and thanks.

I finished to read the book now, am euphoric and very happy for having the certainty of that I am a former-smoker. I am doctor and I agreed to each letter of the book. I identified in all the moments. I never imagined that he was so easy and so fantastic to escape of the vice. The only thing that that I want now is to use to advantage a mental life healthful and physically and to spread to all the smokers the existence of the book. You are not going to die reading this book, in fact you have nothing to lose.

I quit 7 days ago. Everything Allen writes makes perfect sense. I had previously made 3 serious, albeit unsuccessful, attempts at ending the slavery of smoking using willpower alone. While there was still fear this time around, what a difference his EASYWAY book makes.
If you are a smoker, or even an ex-smoker, please read it.
Allen Carr’s words made me realize that quitting cigarettes isn’t hard. The hard part was actually being a smoker.
Allen Carr is truly an inspiration. R.I.P.

Hi my name is Lisa I am 29 and was stuck in the nicotine trap for 10 years even though previous to getting hooked I always swore I would never touch cigarettes. This is my fourth day of escaping and I am so glad I am free I want all my friends and family to read both books the easy way and scandal. Alan is a marvellous person and I am very sorry to hear he has now passed on but he will never be forgotten.

I was a pack a day smoker (in 2000)and had heard much about Allen’s book so I read it just to see what all the fuss was about but without any real intention of stopping smoking.
I couldn’t even bear to keep smoking until the end of the book and threw away half a pack. I’ve never looked back. Many many thanks.

Nicola Scott said,
I have just stopped smoking for the 2nd time using Allen’s method. (I caved after 1 year in a moment of weakness and extreme anxiety and stress and a few glasses of wine – not a mistake I will make again). I stopped 4 days ago. I am relaxed and happy, and occasionally have a smile to myself because I know I will not smoke again, I have more time for my children because I am not going outside to smoke every hour or so. The reason for my visit is to find a clinic for my husband. He has smoked for 30 years and this is his first serious attempt to stop. He is using the NHS NRT route and it is so painful to watch – I can see him suffering needlessly – and making us suffer too. I am shocked to discover that Allen died nearly a year ago. My own father was dying of Cancer at the same time and from mid November – February was a bit of blur. My heart goes out to his family – especially Joyce. They obviously had a strong loving relationship. Having just read the “Easyway” for Women, He refers to her a lot. “Give him a Squirt Allen” will be in mind for a long time to come, causing a smile.
As I read this book I thought about the possible effects of passive smoking and what a sacrifice Allen and his therapists were making, especially in light of the smoking ban. I prayed then that he would not be affected. I am so sorry to discover that he was. His work will continue and I sincerely hope that the NHS and the government wake up to this method and the damage the NRT is actually doing to the users and the use of Taxpayers money which could be spent in many better ways. It would be cheaper to offer one of Allen’s books on prescription. I will always hold Allen in high regard.
Thank you Allen for being You.Nicky

Both of us,my husband and me quit smoking 3 months ago and we have no intention or need to start smoking again. My husband was chain smoker who could not imagine his life without cigarettes. He tried couple times to quit using patches or gums or will power.Nothing worked for him.
We both smoked about 20 years. We had a problem imaginnig life without cigarettes. After we read the book everything changed overnight and we regret that we did not know about it earlier.
Right now I tell everybody who smokes to try Allen’s method.Hardest thing is to convince people that they have nothing to loose.

I am 54 years old and been a smoker for the last 30 years. I have stopped several times in the past, anything from 1 day to 2 years using many methods including will power and nicotine replacement therapy. I recently was blessed with my first grandson and decided to try once more so that I may enjoy as much of his upbringing as possible. I decided to try the Allen Carr method. So far I have been 10 weeks without the weed and only once have I momenterily felt the need to smoke which I overcame by applying the thought principles available in the book. Truly amazing gift that Allen has bequethed to the world.

I read the book in January of this year. It worked for a friend and I figured I would give it a try. I was skeptical, thinking it would not work for me. I was at least a pack a day smoker. I smoked my final cigarette, finished the book and have not smoked again. I was amazed at how easy it was for me.
Thanks so much.

Went to Clinic on Friday and do not feel like a smoker anymore, dont quite know how or why, and dont try to analyse too much because it worked and even have no problem being around people who do smoke, it doesn’t register that they are smoking and I am not. still slightly bemused by whole process but happy and would recommend to anyone who is in doubt.
Big thanks to Sam who looked after us on the day.

Alan Carr’s the easyway to stop smoking was fantastic! I was afraid that it wouldn’t work, but it did. It worked so well that the last few days I smoked I wanted to quickly finish the book so I could have the final smoke and be done with it all. All of my friends are very impressed that I have quit so easily after 10 years of smoking (some of them did it the hard way). I recommended this book to anyone that wants to stop smoking for good.

Allen,
I just wanted to say thank you, I was an idiot to have started smoking again after quiting the hard way over 10 years ago. I didn’t realise but smoking slowly took over my whole life and before i knew it, it was controlling me.
I’m so glad you spent the time to write the book and even happier that I found it and read it one sunny Sunday. Since that day I haven’t smoked a single cigarette and just the thought of smoking makes me feel sick.
Thanks,
Karl

I read Allen Carr’s book on March 6th of this year and haven’t smoked since that day. Already a heavy smoker at 21, I knew I would be doomed to a life of nicotine addiction if I didn’t control the demons. The Easy Way gave me the power I needed to say “enough is enough” and turn my life around.
The past 7 months of my life have been amazing. My skin has cleared up and I get compliments on how healthy I look. My stamina has increased and I actually enjoy jogging again! I’m less easily irritated and enjoy going out all night without feeling tired, sick, or just run down in general.
As a young person who has struggled with depression since my early teens, I must say that the most beautiful part of giving up nicotine has been the shift in my emotional state. The highs are much higher and the lows aren’t as low. When something bothers me, I have the power to move past it because I have my health and that is all I really need in life. I was never happy being a smoker and it took this freedom to realize that.
I urge anyone—young and old alike—to read this book if they are considering “quitting.” Freeing myself of nicotine has been so liberating that I know I will never touch another cigarette again. Allen Carr is truly one of my heroes. Despite the fact that he has passed, I’m sure he would be pleased at the effect he has has on people all over the world!

My husband attended the Alan Carrs non smoking clinic 10 weeks ago and after 41 years of smoking 2-3 packets per day, is now a non-smoker.
John is now walking – something he had previously refused to do – as he is finding a new respect for his body since ceasing smoking. So, at age 62 he has not only given up smoking heavily, he is now exercising and enjoying it.
Thankyou for the interview – & perhaps thankyou for a few more years with my husband.

Now 8 years have passed and I believe I am ready. This afternoon I went out and bought the ONLY WAY.. and it begins.
I remember the feeling of the realisation.. I look forward to that feeling finding me again. I will keep you posted!!!

I just wanted to say thank you to Alen Carrs as I had been smoking for 15 years, and never even tried to give up but i really wanted to, and i hate reading so didn’t want to read the book, or spend money on other methods, but then a friend recommended the dvd to me which she said she had watched and gave up for the last 4 years.. so i ordered one from the internet and watched it and have not had a cigarette since.. it hasn’t been long yet, only a month and a half, but it still seems to be working great.. if you use thos method and do everything they say it should work for you too..

Hi to all ex-smokers everywhere! I did it very easily on July 3rd 2006.
To anyone who has just found this site, and still smokes….it is much better than just a stop-smoking method! If you read and understand the book it can change your whole outlook!! You will learn how easily you have been lied to all your life by people who should know better! So you will find amazing new strength once you have conquered the first BIG LIE : That it’s hard to quit smoking.
From a very happy ex-smoker, in Old England!

Hi there. Im 48 years old and I have been smokefree for 3 months now. Im pretty proud of myself as I truly loved my ciggies and to be honest, every couple of days I do think about smoking. The thoughts are very very fleeting though :) I thinks I did things around the wrong way. I had been smokefree for about a week before I bought your book and was a bit disheartened when I realised that I should have been smoking while reading it. Im not sure if I was supposed to do this or not but I was going on holiday (a time I most enjoyed a non-rushed ciggy)I was scared Id slip so I calculated how much extra money I and now had through not buying cigs and spent it on myself :)I have been under a huge amount of stress, havent smoked and seem better able to cope! What I am particularly enjoying is having fresh smelling hair and clothes. The other day two things happened to me. A man in his late 50’s got out of his car and was talking to me, he then had a coughing fit and it was repulsive, he coughed and dribbled, spat and snorted and then blamed “bloody cigarettes” Then a young attractive woman walked past me, she was so groomed and professional looking until I got a whif of stale cigarette smoke on her clothes and hair. I am hoping that if I start to falter I will remember these two people and how sorry I felt for them.
So thankyou thankyou thankyou…
Cheers

My girlfriend and I received the Easyway to Stop Smoking from my 20 year old son and his girlfriend a month ago. We read it and both stopped smoking as of three weeks…I went out and bought the drinking book and we both stopped our wine in the evenings habit as well. I feel better than I have in years and still am amazed at out simple and easy this method has been. I feel in control of my choices and what I put in my body. I am a psychotherapist and am using Mr. Carr’s books with my clients as well. Thank you for freedom from addiction…
