Hi you all happy people without a smoke anymore!
I`m a 30 years old woman from Finland and proud of myself for leaving the most vicious habit I`ve got hooked on!
It has been two weeks since I smoked my last tobacco, and it may sound like a very short time, but to me it`s like a one lifetime; cause i feel like been given to a whole new life! And I all ready know, that NOTHING can make me smoke ever again.
Finally I have achieved the ONE thing I`ve been so shamed on for 15 years; smoking.
The first week wasn`t so easy as the Book said it would be, but much much EASIER than I ever believed it could be.
So all I can really say, is THANK YOU Allen Carr for owning the brain and courage you do for writing these words of wisdom!!!
With love and gratitude,
Satu Mäkilä

P.S We don`t have any clinics of Easy way in Finland, at least yet!

27 years of smoking . . . 3 weeks a non-smoker and feeling extremely positive as now I understand what the whole act was about. Have put myself in circumstances where I would have been miserable without a cigarette and it’s been ridiculously easy! Realise how much calmer I am now I’m not fighting to fine THE perfect environment (and drag my friends with me) to have that so called relaxing cigarette with a wine. Quite a revelation.

Dear Allen, I’m almost 50 years old. I have smoked since I was 13, chain-smoked since I was 16. I did not want to smoke, had no intention of stopping, would rather not live than quit. Don’t ask me how you did it, but I read your book and haven’t smoked in 12 days. I will never pick up another cigarette. LOVE, Michelle

To be honest, I found it really strange that I went to stop smoking, and every 45 minutes there was a cigarette break. I must admit I liked it, though. Three months later, I don’t have the slightest craving to smoke.

Just a quick email to thank Susan (Allen Carr’s Easyway Eire clinics) for helping me over the fence and getting me out of the smoking trap!

Susan – the day I walked out of the course I knew that was it. It’s been over a month now and I’m already ripping the benefits from appearance to energy and confidence. I’ve replaced my 3 cigg’s and a cup of coffee in the morning to fruit and orange juice. Total life change. Feel so clean and healthy.

That day when you were handing out the guarantee I didn’t want to take it because I knew I would never have a need for it. I’ve been spreading the word so hopefully I can send on some referrals to you and your team.

Big thanks again and keep up the great work.

James

I read Allen’s book on quitting smoking 26 years ago. At that time, I was smoking 20 to 25 Marlboro’s per day and had developed quite a nasty smoker’s cough. I read and inwardly digested the contents, then applied them after a period of reflection.

The desire to smoke soon left me and I have not smoked since.

My rough calculation on what I have saved over the years is quite staggering. If we take a pack of cigarettes to be £5, then I have saved somewhere in the region of £47,000 over this period.

I have recently read Allen’s book on controlling Alcohol and can report impressive results here too. I have decided to opt for a healthier attitude to life in 2009 and have now done nearly a month without particularly wanting a drink and abstaining out of choice rather than fighting using immense willpower – it really is quite easy if you ‘get the head right’.

After reading Allen Carr’s Easyway method, I have not smoked for 1 week. While sometimes I do feel that I would like to have a cigarette, I know that if I did, I would feel sick and I would be giving up on myself. Instead, I do deep breathing exercises. I now know that the craving is psychological, and that I can beat this. I try to always remember that I am not ‘giving up’ anything; rather, I am gaining health, sanity, self-respect and pride. Thank you Allen Carr – the most poignant message for me in your book was when you said that smoker’s have 3 options; to stop smoking using will power, and feel deprived and depressed for the rest of your life; to keep smoking and choke yourself to death; or be nice to yourself and don’t do it anymore! I think all smokers have a deep-seated sense of self-loathing – why else would anyone keep wanting to poison themselves, by choking on black tar every day?
God Bless you Allen Carr – you have helped me to make the changes in my life that I have been desperately wanting to make for so long. Love, life and light (excuse the pun) to all other ex-smokers who have stopped killing themselves.
p.s. I am from New Zealand.

Liz Furrer

Since Autumn 2001 my sister and I are non-smokers owing to your method. I smoked over 30 years and did not believe that I could ever stop. There is nothing better than this course, which I would like to write you today! The new freedom is indescribable! We both look much better, we are fit, much more efficient and no longer nervous. We waste no more thoughts on cigarettes. We still have genuine compassion with all humans, who must still smoke. We are for seven years no longer addicted. The life is beautiful since then. Thanks for your large work! Yours sincerely

I stopped smoking on Nov 5 (bonfire night) 1987 with the help of Allen Carr’s book ‘Easyway’. It is the best thing that has happened in my life. I had tried, unsuccesssfully, on several ocassions, using nocotine chewing gum, boiled sweets, fruit, etc. etc. all of which after a very short time proved useless.

I was most saddened to hear of Allen’s death. One thing though he has saved many countless thousands from premature death with his ground breaking book and system to QUIT smoking. I cannot emphasise how easy, YES easy it is to STOP smoking using his method. It turns the whole smoking debacle on its head. I have recommeneded his book to many freinds and relatives.

The only thing I had a slight struggle with was the timing of that last cigarette! I just gave myself a good ‘now or never’ talking to and took the plunge – and am soooo glad I did! Can’t thank you enough – managed to get my boyfriend to read it and quit too which was an amazing feat believe me!

Hi

I just put out the last one, although I confess it was the second time. I stopped using Allen Carr five years ago, and couldn’t believe how simply easy it was. I was so annoyed by myself, yet couldn’t stop the slide. REading the book again, I could identify with so many sentiments!

I know again now that I will not smoke ever again, but this time, I am also certain I won’t fall for trap ever ever again.

Out of reandom interest, just before I smoked the final cigarrette, I played a word anagram game on my iphone to break up the chapters, and the first word and only 6 letter word that I got…....’SMOKED’. How weird!

I have been trying to stop for the past 10 years, making countless attempts to quit. Allen Carr’s method is completely different from what I have seen so far. I went to the session very reluctant as I believed I would hear the usual stuff about cancer and heart diseases, which was not the case. I left 5 hours later feeling liberated and reborn.

Hello everyone, I am writing to you from Nantucket Island. It’s been 6 days now and I’m still wondering when I’m actually going to WANT a cigarette again! It sounds strange, but I just really am dumbfounded at how easy it has been to stop.

I have been a pack and a half a day smoker for about 15 years. Every time I ever tried to quit before was a nightmare. Literally, i would have nightmares, and depression until i caved in and smoked.

This time is so different. Now I feel confident that I will never want to smoke again. I followed the instructions in the book, and Allen kept his word. I feel so lucky to be back in the state of mind i was in before i ever started…truly detesting cigarettes, and FREE from them!

I heard about the Easyway to Stop Smoking while watching the Jay Lenno show with Ashton Kircher who couldn’t say enough about the book. I made a mental note to check into it but couldn’t find it in book stores so I basically gave up….for the time being. Last year on New Years day my husband decided he was going to quit smoking. I really wasn’t ready but knew that it would be easier for me to quit if he did. I instantly thought of the book Ashton spoke so highly of and I went online and purchased it to include expedited shipping. On January 4th at 4:10pm I had my last cigerette as I finished Allen’s book. That was a year ago and I have no desire to smoke again. My husband unfortunately started smoking again in October but of course he never read the book. He heard all the wonderful things I had said about the Easyway but he didn’t think he needed to read it, he could do it on his own and somehow I was weak to need assistance…blah blah blah. This morning however I saw that he had taken the book to the restroom and started reading it. I am sure the method will work for him if he finishes book. I just wanted to say thank you for helping me see cigarette smoking for the sham it is. After 23 years of smoking 3/4’s of a pack a day (never more never less) and only being able to quit when I was pregnant, I didn’t think I could ever kick the addiction. I have moments of elation everyday now. I am no longer a slave to cigarettes. I am proud to say that it caused a synergy effect in the office. I know of at least 5 people in my office that ordered the book and used it after my success and they have been successful too. I used to see about 10-15 different people outside smoking at any given time but now I only see 1 or 2. It’s contagious. Thanks again.

Isn’t the freedom a revelation? I’m an intelligent and hard working man with a fairly good level of fitness but always saw this as compensation for the dreaded (non) habit! It’s the realisation, obvious or otherwise, that you are in control of something so damaging and that freedom far outways the guilt of years of smoking. Really enjoying being a non smoker and really enjoying those occassional moments that creep up on you. Moments for celebration!!!! Good luck all and God Bless you Allen for your honesty. This book could not have been written without it

I would like to say a massive THANK YOU to the EasyWay method for helping me to become a non-smoker at last after being a smoker for over 28 years.
I had given up many times before but I could only last for around 5 months, I had even read the Allen Carr’s EasyWay to stop smoking book and only managed to stay stopped for 4 months.
I attended the London clinic on 12th November 2007, I was on my own and didn’t really know what to expect. I sat there for most of the day and wondered what on earth I was doing; I was convinced that it/I was going to fail. I gave up my much loved cigarettes and left the clinic quite sure that I would be in the local shop that evening buying more. It’s now been 1 year and 2 months and I cannot believe that I am still a non-smoker, its fantastic. I don’t know what happened that day and I can’t explain it but whatever it was I am grateful. I have put on around 3Ibs since I stopped. For anyone out there wishing to stop but is scared please give this method a try IT’S SO EASY. With a money back guarantee what can you lose?

I have been a non-smoker for five days now and I feel fantastic!
I read the book and, like most people, was sceptical about a mere book being able to help someone quit such an addictive ‘habit’...how wrong I was!

As someone who smoked 40 cigarettes a day for 18 years, I thought I’d never be able to stop, having made several very unsuccessful attempts in the past, using NRT – I found I peeled the patches off in order to have a cigarette, and then stuck it back down again, such was the hold this substance had over me!

I can honestly say that I’ve never felt so happy, so free and I’m simply amazed at how easy it was to just stop – I cannot recommend the book highly enough!

Thank you Allen, God bless you!

I started smoking when I was 16 and stopped, finally, when I was 54.

The book was recommended by my hairdresser. I bought it, read all but the last chapter and then put it back on the shelf. I wasn’t ready to stop yet – I still thought I was enjoying smoking.

I knew that when I read to the end of the book I would stop smoking for good. (I had stopped 3 times over the years).

I smoked 20 cigarettes a day for many years but about 7 years ago started to use nicotine chewing gum so I could get my nicotine fix in situations when I couldn’t smoke. My
cigarette consumption dropped to 10 a day but I was getting through a box of gum a week.

I still have 2 boxes of gum. I was very surprised to find that when I read that last chapter, I had no inclination to take nicotine in any form.

I was desperately sorry to hear of Alan’s death from lung cancer. To me, he was the greatest HEALTH practitioner ever.

Wherever you are Allen, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. You were the only person who ever told me the truth about smoking and so enabled me to stop smoking permanently.

I have quit smoking before. And failed, miserably. Mostly because I saw my friends enjoy smoking, remembring I did once enjoy it.

With an IQ of 154 I thought of myself as smart enough not to believe in the “It’s easy to quit smoking” fairy-tales.
Now, in the prime of vulnerability to get back on the bandwagon, I find myself having a good time with my friends in the pub’s smoking area, wondering why they think they enjoy their cigarette; Yet even more wondering why I’m not craving for it, because last time I TRIED to quit I did.
I was certain I would never truely quit smoking. Allen Carr made me certain I wouldd never truely think about having a puff again. The Bible has lesser miracles discribed within.
