I left my first message here on Nov 20, 2008 after 3.5 months without cigarettes (...after 20 years with!).
Now I’m close to my 11th month and I want to leave another message here to encourage those who have just quit or are still trying, to tell them that it is REALLY easy, the only “hard” phase I had to face were the very first weeks (2 or 3) but after that everything was done!
No regret, no craving, not even thinking about smoking!
Believe me, even if I still find it hard to believe myself…. IF I MADE IT, YOU CAN MAKE IT!

At 28 years old smoking 20 a day was not the worst thing in world i could of been doing.. i thought I ‘enjoyed smoking’ and I could not imagine myself as a non smoker.. When i finally opened my eyes and realised that the cough n sore chest i had, never having much spare cash, and not doing stuff where i couldnt enjoy a smoke was effecting my life I attended a clinic April 2008 the feeling of happiness and excitment when I knew I was no longer a smoker was amazing…
somehow 6 months later after a few drinks i had ‘just the one smoke’ i fell back into the trap i was foolish. 3 weeks ago I read the book and have now the same feeling of been free of smoking! This time I am going to stay on track and follow the rulrs. Thanks Alan Carr for sharing your easyway u have given me back control of my life
I am free isnt it great x x

Thank you so much for giving me my life back! I am a 35 year old woman, and had smoked for 20 years (of which the last 15 I was a chain smoker of roll-your-own tobacco, probably up to 40/day). I was desperate to stop smoking so I went to a seminar. I was almost in tears as I thought if this doesn’t work i will never be able to give up! But 5 months later I am a happy, healthy non-smoker! My skin is so much clearer, my lungs work so much better, everyone tells me I look better than I have in years, I have stopped coughing and most of all the terrible worry about what I am doing to myself has gone. I was one of the heaviest smokers I have known and I was able to give up easily. I really think anyone can do it with this method – it is the best money I have ever spent! Thankyou Allen and all the wonderful people who work for the organisation!

Pretty amazing book! I was smoking for 20 years. I finished the book 13 months ago, and I know i will never smoke again, wow… Do like me, just read it!! I had to write and thank Allen, god bless your soul and may you rest in peace.

Thanks!

Thank you, thank you, thank you….at last, the freedom….I had been smoking for nearly 31 years and had tried to “give up” (lol) many times over the years….patches, zyban, cutting down slowly (got down to 3 per day with that one…). I bought the Book about 4 years ago and began to read it, got about 2/3 of the way through and made out that I’d gotten too busy to read anymore and closed it and put it aside….only now nearly 3 months being a non-smoker after reading the Book from cover to cover can I admit that the reason I put the Book aside back then was that I knew it was going to work and that I would have indeed stopped smoking if I read it all!!!! What a hoot! Once again I’m eternally grateful to Allen for writing his Book, my sympathies to his family on his passing away and I now know that I will never smoke again….ever. It was so EASY….I don’t miss it and I don’t mind being around smokers now, I don’t feel tempted. I’m from Whangarei in New Zealand and I stopped smoking on 26th March 2009.

I’ve been smoke free for 5 months. The seminar did it for me. I can’t explain how or why it worked, but it did. I was a pack-a-day smoker for 40 years and now I’m done. Thanks.

Well what can i say. I had tried numerous failed attempts to quit.Hypnosis, lazer treatment, willpower, none worked, a couple of days and screaming for a fag. Had a shot of a nintendo ds and it had the allen carr game on it, didnt really make any sense and that was that. Had a bad 12 months, my mum died of empysemia, my dad had a heart attck, knew these could happen to me at any time but you still ignore it.
Then i was on amazon and i saw the book of Allen Carrs easy way to stop smoking, only wanted 98p for it. Nothing to lose so i bought it.3 weeks on and i can honestly say i would have paid £98 for it.
You start reading the book thinking, well lets see what he has to say about stopping and how he (Allen) can claim its so easy, we’ve seen all the ad’s telling us we are about to be tortured by quitting and it may never go away, even reading NHS stop smoking sites tell you the same, this is gonna be harder than being back at school taking your highers, stress, you wont know whats hit you but it will eventually die down in around a month to ten years. What liars. Reading the book was a revalation, i couldn’t put it down, i was looking forward to finishing the book, with each page i could feel myself becoming a non smoker, ok a couple of times i would read a page over and over till it sunk in but jeez i was getting happier the nearer i got to the end. Then i did, i closed the final chapter, went outside, smoked a cigarette and declared myself a non smoker and went to bed (it was getting late)
three weeks later:
not once have i smoked or wanted to.
feel like a new man (im 40 and have smoked since i was 10)
used to get home from work and turn into a couch potato, not anymore.
First few days walked the dog more than it needed (poor thing) out working in the garden, just have so much energy already. even when i get in bed at night im not coughing and wheezing for 10 mins till i get my breath back from the final ciggie before bed. No-one minds standing next to me now that i dont smell like an ashtray. I could go on and on.went out yesterday and bought myself a bike (it was free as i used the money id saved not buying fags) and enjoyed a nice cycle with my young daughter yesterday, it was amazing.
Allen should have been knighted and the NHS should listen to him.Allen was right , it is EASY to quit and i and my family want to say a big thankyou to you and my only downside is that i didnt find you sooner.
THANK YOU

My husband and I only started smoking when we were in our late 20’s… How stupid is that? Anyway, after 5 years we had tried to stop an were getting quite desperate (I was ready to book into a drug rehabilitation centre…)

I discovered the webcast while I was searching for a rehabilitation centre, purchases them online and watched them with my husband that very evening. Haven’t smokes since, even while it was a stressfull time for us. We had just moved to a new country, have new jobs and are still trying to find our feet.

And the best is: It really is the reverse of will power, I would have to motivate myself to smoke again :)

Thank you Allen Carr, I quit smoking and am so happy now!
I am 23 and I was smoking for 10 years. Me and my boyfriend always thought that I’ll never stop because I was so addicted to cigarettes. But I read the first pages and actually stopped smoking forever. I gave the book to my brother and my boyfriend and they also stopped smoking and are much more happier now! :-)

Hello-Thank you, thank you so very, very much! I have tried for years to quit smoking. I have always said that if I could stop smoking, I could do anything. Well, I certainly feel that I could do anything now. In fact, the amazing thing is that when I stopped smoking it changed my life in so many other unforeseen ways! I drink substantially less now, (and in fact, I rarely even care for a drink.) I find that I take more walks, exercise more, eat better and generally just take care of myself. This is something I was never able to do consistently before I quit smoking. I guess I knew it didn’t do much good if I was still smoking. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You and your program are truly a God-send. I now have several friends and family members that are well on their way to changing their lives and I have no doubt that they will succeed because it is the Easy Way!

I just wanted to thank you for your book.

I’m 26 and had been smoking since i was 15 (i thought it was cool back then) and had tried every other way to quit, then a friend reccommended your book, and it has worked!

I’m only on day 3 but feel great. All the other times i’ve tried to quit, I had been miserable, but this time i truly feel great!!

So, a BIG thankyou again.

I have just passed the golden ‘3-Month’ mark and can’t believe how easy the last 12 weeks have been. I left my Easyway session (Birmingham)feeling a litte unconvinced and waiting for the moment when I would want a cigarette. That moment has not come, its so difficult to articulate but I have totally lost the desire to smoke. It’s a great feeling, I only wish I had done it sooner.

I recieved your book from my boss who had found it at the Strand book store for $1, figuring for a dollar what is there to lose. After about a week I started to read and once 3/4 the way through I took the plunge 3 weeks prior to the most stressful time of the year, Christmas. Needless to say the dollar that was spent was the best dollar ever spent by my boss as I have been smoke free now for over 7 months and am confident I will never be a slave to ciggarette’s again!!!! Thank you for saving my life!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
just wanted to say thank you so much for making me free! I had smoked 20 ciggies a day for 15 years. I had never tried to stop before but i was growing increasingly fed up with the habit and the thought of giving up was getting stronger though i still smoked a packet a day…Then someone gave me the book and it was like I hit my head or something. Gave up overnight, two years on i am 34 now. Mr Carr saved so many people…Thank you…

The key factor for me was the liberation of the brainwashing we, smokers, were – and still are -subjected to and i say this to anyone that wants to hear..’you only smoke to achieve a state that non smokers enjoy all the time…’

The most amazing thing is that I’ve never felt the need of smoking again after reading Allen Carr’s book. Instead, I’ve just started feeling better and better everyday. I just want to say thank you, for teaching me how to look at life from a different point of view. I’m so happy and proud of myself now! I’ll never say thank you enough.

The train broke down on my way home and left me 5 hours to finish the book. By the time I got home I decided to quit.

I just quit 3 weeks ago but I can tell you already it is one of the best things I´ve ever done. Thank you!

I’ve just finished Allen Carr’s EasyWay, it took me a few months to actually get past the first few chapters because i was so scared.

I had been smoking for nearly 5 years, but i knew after i put out that final cigarette that i will never smoke again, i’ve never felt better, i dont miss them at all, it is incredible, no more choking cough, no more bronchitis, or hiding away from people in shame while smoking.

I’m only 19, but i know that i am not trapped and i can be healthy and free for myself and my daughter.

And even though Aleen had passed away im sure his book etc will go on to cure many people, thank you so very much.

Man, I just got teared-up reading some of the comments on here. So much joy and relief that Allen has brought to the world.

I have personally been a non-smoker for about 3 months or so now thanks to the easy way.

Thank you so much for saving my life and the lives of millions Allen, and for showing us the TRUTH about how easy and indeed enjoyable it can be to quit smoking.

I tell every smoker I know now … “Ya know, if you ever want to quit it can be super easy. All you have to do is commit to reading a book, you don’t have to worry about the actual quitting it will come naturally!”

They all think I’m crazy and I probably would have thought so too when I was a smoker.

God Bless Allen Carr and his Easy Way.

Until I read “Easy Way To Stop Smoking,” I was too stressed about the pleasures I would give up if I quit smoking. Allen Carr’s perspective helped me understand that I was giving up nothing, and gaining everything.

I bought the book. Then looked at it lying on the table for 6 months. Then started to read it. I read SLOWLY because I was scared to quit smoking. I read 75% of the book… then I stopped because I knew I was supposed to quit at the end of it. But, I let his ideas ferment in my brain. The ideas grew and grew.

I picked up the book again. I finished it. I quit smoking. It’s been two months. I am so happy that I am not a smoker. I will never smoke again.

RIP and Thank You Mr. Carr!

Thank you so much for continuing with allen carrs dream and method, his TRUTH!

so, live on and enjoy! ;)
