This truthfully was the best thing that has ever happened to me. I started smoking when I was seventeen years old to fit in with my peers. Ever since then, it has stuck with me and my habit for smoking has gotten progressively worse over the years. I knew I had to do something, so I decided to purchase this book. It made me look at smoking in an entire different light and it has made me actually see how bad smoking is for anyone. I cannot get myself to enjoy smoking anymore and I actually feel as if I have crossed back over to being a non-smoker. Thank you Allen Carr and EasyWay for allowing me to see the light. Life is definitely worth living now!
I am absolutely amazed. In “my personal statement” I wrote while reading the book I stated that since age 10 I knew I would be a smoker my whole life, it was just how it was going to be. Allen Carr opened my eyes. I smoked my final cigarette yesterday afternoon. After dinner my husband followed the typical routine, smoking the “after dinner cigarette” he offered me one, which I normally would not have turned down for any reason, but I did, and while he sat there and smoked, I secretly was yelling in my head “Yippee, I’m a happy non-smoker.” I’ve been in such a great mood since I put out my final cigarette. When the little monster does pop into my head, I let myself think about it, I dissect everything, I let myself think about it, and a few minutes later, wala, he’s gone. I was never able to think about smoking when I tried to quit using willpower, but it doesn’t scare me now. I am free! Thank you Allen for opening my eyes, and truly saving my life.
I used to smoke between 25-30 cigarettes a day. Every Day. I was afraid that I would miss smoking, miss fag breaks at work, Miss socially smoking, Miss the fag after dinner, Miss the first fag of the day, Miss the fag whilst driving. I thought of every occasion I would have a cigarette and imagined how horrible it would be. I WAS WRONG. I went on the 1 day course in March 2010 and now its August 2011 and I still have not smoked. I’m only back on this website because I’m sending a friend a link. I can honestly say that stopping was easy, straight forward and I didn’t put on weight, eat more or become stressed like everyone tells you. I have recommended it to many people, All of whom have attended and are now non-smokers.
There really is nothing to lose, Book it! I really could save your life!
Allen is always in my heart. It’s like a second father that helped me to see through the darkness of smoking and quit, easy and forever. Full stop.
I wish I will meet him when will be my time to pass away.
For the moment I can only say he should be taught in schools (and proclaimed saint) :)
So easy, I am confused as to how I quit.
30 years a pack a day, then freedom!!!!
My daughter at one point told my other kids to stop fighting; mom’s quitting smoking and they didn’t want me to start again… I couldn’t believe that I had brainwashed her to believe that stress caused me to smoke. I informed her that I was not going to smoke, sent my boys to their room and went about my day.
I have had really crappy days since I stopped smoking, but you know what I had them when I smoked also. Same sh*t different day w/o a cigarette :)
I’m 25 years old and I quit drinking alcohol last april. In the months prior to that I grew more and more worried about my drinking behaviour. I was drinking too much, too often and when I didn’t want to drink at all.I had tried drinking less before but I wasn’t succesfull. That was the main reason for my increasing worries. Why was it so hard for me to stop drinking??? Then I met the point where I really wanted to stop. I bought Allens book and started to read. I was sceptic at first but when I progressed about halfway trough, something changed. I started to look at alcohol differently and learned to view it correctly. I am so happy that I quit drinking! I never knew that it affected my life so much. I feel like myself again and am very proud. And it wasn’t even hard. Instead of it being a struggle, stop drinking truly is the easiest thing I have ever done.

I started reading the book in October 2006. I was convinced that it would not work, I went into the process full of doubt and when I reached the point in the book when it’s time to stop I panicked and put the book away till January 2007. However, I opened the book and stopped smoking – literally just like that. I was a heavy smoker, at least 20 a day, sometimes 25 and I literally just stopped. Since January 2007 I have never smoked, at all! More importantly though I have never wanted to! I made a promise to myself that if after three months I was still craving a smoke then I would have one, but I can honestly say that I have never wanted a cigarette and feel in now way deprived of anything. Go for it..!
I decided after many many years of binge drinking that I had had enough. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I started a program which has been successful and I have been in recovery for many months now.
I went to a 2nd hand book sale and in the back of the container was Allen Carr’s “No more hangovers” I could not put it down. It was the information that I needed to make my decision FINAL. It has made sobriety for me so much easier. I now live a much more productive life and do not miss the alchohol at all. I am fit, I am running, my business is successful. I do not suffer from anxiety attacks or post piss up depression any longer. When I have a moment that I feel I am in “no mans land” I read your book and it puts me right back on track!!!
Thank you Allen for the shock treatment that I needed to hear. I wish I had learnt this information when I was young. I wish my partents knew what I know now. When my son turns 16 I am going to tell him the story about the fly in the pitcher plant. He will drink I know he will but I know that this story he will always have in the back of his mind when he takes his first sip of a drink!!!
I know that this book is helping other people and I will share it with whoever wants to listen!!!
Much love and thanks

I just finished reading your book and put down my last cigarette on July 21, 2011. I can confidently say that even though I didn’t even feel ready, I am non-smoker today. It is this easy, no cravings, relaxed and feeling great! Why did I smoke for so long!? Thank you for your book, it has changed my life.
It’s all I could say.
I was smoking as I was reading the book. The day I quit, November 22nd 2010, I had 4 cigarettes in the morning. I finished the book around noon that day. Immediately on closing the book, I went for a smoke. I couldn’t do it. My body would not let me smoke. An hour later I took a coffee and tried one more time. I couldn’t do it. Not at all.
It was like magic and I haven’t looked back since.
I hear Allen’s voice every time I think about it, reminding me constantly of the myths about the habit and how I really don’t need that smoke.
Thank you Allen Carr!!!

I just want to say a big thank you for making stopping smoking for me so much easier. I have now been a non-smoker for 9 months and can honestly say I have lost the desire to light up!
I read your book the easyway for women to stop smoking and I am very glad I did, although when I first started reading it I did not expect any results! Now I sometimes just read it for fun!
Again many thanks for helping me save my life for £6.99.
I started smoking as a teenager in the “smoking lounge” behind the school. Admittedly, it was actually a lot harder to smoke than it seemed and looking back, I am pretty sure I was out there for the social aspect of the habit rather than a burning desire to inhale smoke. That was 1989. I continued to smoke through my 20s, really clobbering a pack or two in an evening at the bar, or happily chatting on the phone with my friends. Two kids later and a bout of pneumonia gave me brief breaks from my habit, only to break down and buy a pack to ease my nic-fit. Finally, I was talking to a friend on the phone about how her brother quit smoking “just like that” – he had just read Allen Carr’s Easyway. I bought the book the next day thinking that I really didn’t have anything to lose and started reading the book immediately. I related to the messaging right away and it didn’t take me long to finish the book and smoke my last cigarette. That was March of 2003 and the story isn’t exactly over.
People I had know for years were quietly monitoring my progress… they were my smoking buddies, and everyone knows not to ask a recent ex-smoker how things are going too soon. I kept up my positive self-talk about being a happy non-smoker and didn’t feel deprived at all. Then my mother got very sick after coming back from an over-seas trip. She was so sick, we thought we were going to lose her and I spent every spare minute I could at the hospital. If I couldn’t sleep, I called the nurses to get updates. It was a terribly stressful time.
It was about the third week into my mothers illness and I was talking to my co-workers giving them an update on her condition. As I unloaded my troubles, one of the girls (a regular heavy smoker buddy) piped up and said the words that I have never forgotten to this day.
“All that s**t you have been dealing with and you haven’t had ONE cigarette?”
At that second, I knew it hadn’t even occurred to me that I hadn’t wanted, craved or even ‘needed’ a cigarette. At that second, I realized that I had officially became a happy non-smoker (even though it had been 2 months since I actually quit). I knew at that very second I would really really really never smoke again!
Its been over 8 years, and I make sure that anyone who asks knows exactly what I read and how I knew I finally quit for life.
PS – It took my mother about a year to completely recover but I’m happy to report that she is still alive and kicking like she should be!

I just wanted to say a big Thank you. It was SO EASY to quit after reading Alen Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking!!!
I must admit I was not sure that I was going to be successful – until day 1 of being smoke free that is. From day 1, it has genuinely been incredibly easy. The book does exactly what it says on the tin. Makes quitting easy. Thanks Again.
I just wanted to share how wonderful it is to have quit smoking. I have smoked a pack a day for the last twenty years and have quit several times before using nicotine replacement products. It never lasted.
And although I am only at day 8 of being a non-smoker, I know that I will never go back to smoking. And it is truly amazing just how easy it really was to stop. In fact, of all the attempts that I have ever made, this one has been by far the easiest. And I know that it will last.
I am so thankful to have been introduced to Allen Carr’s book and I am sharing it with my loved ones who are still smoking.
It feel great to be a non-smoker!

I was just about to head to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled for Welbutrin to help me stop smoking when my bookseller called to tell me the Allan Carr book was in. I picked it up. Read it in one afternoon. Discovered that I had already stopped smoking (little monster dead after two weeks of no fags) but big monster hadn’t caught up yet. Went outside and took a walk and damned near cried for joy.
Just beginning week 4. Urges actually still come ‘round but now I see them as pops and cracks of a dying fire.

I attended the London clinic last Thursday with no great hopes, having been a heavy professional smoker for 45 years.
I had read Easyway and was part through Only Way. I could see the logic of much, and disagreed with some, but the Moment had not happened.
I was not particularly impressed with the session, but followed through the ritual of stubbing out my “last” cigarette at 3.50pm.
I am sure that you would have put me down as one of the anticipated 10% failures.
I am absolutely astounded that I have not had the slightest desire to smoke since that session – no withdrawal symptoms, nothing. All despite the fact that my wife is a heavy smoker so I am still immersed in fug, which I now find extremely distasteful.
With kind regards and many many thanks
Many thanks for your book.
I smoke 30 years, minim 1 pack of cigarettes, every day.
I quit very easy and now I have three months of freedom.
I wish you hapyness and joy.
and again: Thank you very much

I finished reading The Easy Way to Stop Smoking 8 days ago and haven´t had the desire of smoking AT ALL! After smoking for 20 years, with many attempts to quit, I finally got rid of that wweed thanks to ALLEN CARR – THANK YOU SO MUCH Allen, wherever you are! I have been feeling so good that is unbelieable… and I know I will stick to it… Your method really opened my eyes in a way I have never felt or seen the reality of the smoking trap… I just wish that all the smokers in the world could read this book! Well, all my friends are now buying it after seeing its impact on me!
Hej! I am a swedish woman who stoped smoking whit this method six years ago! And I never was able to quit before! So easy it was after I red the book! My daughter took a class and stopt!!
Bu the most amazing thing is how I stoped drinking whit this method. After a very ugly devorce I started to ease myself whit a good glas of wine every night and that escalated to a very bad habit. I could`nt stop and I felt very very bad. Then I found Allens book and red it and now I am free! Ohhhh how good that is! Thank You Allen Carr. You hav saved my life! I know that my mail is so “too much” but this is really how I feel!
Thank you again!
this book is absolutly amazing!!!!! it has been a week since i have become free of the weed and not one regret nor one moody moment. who would have thought a book could stop you smokeing. i can truly say I AM A HAPPY NON SMOKER!!!!!!! thanx Mr Carr

4 Days and going strong, its simply weird! But wonderful that I am free!
I’m 19 years old from Columbus, Ohio and used to smoke a pack a day for about 3 years. My friends got me into the bad habit, and indeed encouraged it. They still do. But now I can handle it.
I’m writing this 16 days after finishing Allen Carr’s book, and haven’t had a cigarette since. I feel fantastic. I feel like a 19 year old should feel – young and full of energy.
I have an app on my smartphone that calculates the statistics of when you quit smoking. 16.29 days after the final smoke, I have not smoked approximately 293.37 cigarettes, saved about $103.71, and got 1 day 5 hours and 18 minutes of my life back. Being a kid on summer break, I’ve gotten drunk numerous times and STILL haven’t smoked!
Of course there are urges, but Allen Carr teaches you a few simple things to think about whenever the desire arises. He literally de-programs this one bad habit from your mindset, and encourages you to know that quitting smoking doesn’t change who you are at all – it only improves everything about you as a human being!
Simply unbelievable! All thanks to this book!
Allen Carr, Rest in peace. You were a genius.
I stopped drinking after reading your book,I had battled to stop drinking for so long and everything that was written in the book spoke to me.
So thankyou for such a blessing,I doubt I would have ever achieved this had it not been your book.I am buying all your topics that I need help with.
I was a heavy smoker for over 35 years. I was given the book as a Christmas present seven years ago. On new year’s day I was on the one but last page smoking a cigar and thinking to myself “will I really be a non-smoker by the time I finish the next page?” I went back and skimmed over the book in case I missed something. Nothing! I finished reading the last page. I haven’t smoked or wanted to smoke since! I come from Cyprus and live in the UK.

I am 29 years old. I started smoking when I was 15 years old. It started out as the occasional cigarette here and there and by the age of 20 I was a pack a day smoker. By the time I read the easyway I was miserable and smoking almost 2 packs a day. Initially, I thought I was free. But 4 months later I was secretly smoking on my patio and more miserable than ever. I realized I must have missed something and purchased the easyway for women. Finally it clicked! I am so happy I am finally free from this misery! The first time I read easyway I was skeptical and couldn’t imagine living without cigarettes. I realize now that I never enjoyed smoking and I have absolutely nothing to miss. Reading Fiona’s story finally made it click. I changed my personal statement right then and there! I too was coming home to an empty house and sitting alone, miserably smoking my life away. Thank you so much for helping me realize the trap I was caught in. I know now that I will never smoke again. I can have a a beautiful, smoke free life! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I had been a smoker for 11 years—one to three packs per day—and had never been able to quit for more than a week unless I used the patch. I was always “cutting down” and would have really bad overindulgent nights because of this method. I couldn’t bare the idea of cold turkey, but after reading Mr. Carr’s book, I quit the next day. I didn’t plan for it; it seemingly was on a whim. I work in a kitchen and almost immediately the food began to taste better, my nose started clearing up, and my cough started to go away. Less dizzy spells and headaches. Mr. Carr I can’t thank you enough for showing me the proper coping mechanisms and frame of mind for successfully quitting. It has been so surprisingly painless and easy. Now, I just need to find a new hobby with all of this money and better health.
I tried to quit smoking using drugs and had no success. A friend of mine told me to read this book. She lent me her copy and for 3 weeks I read that book from cover to cover and on December 26 of 2010 I quit smoking. I tested myself on that day and wrote down how i felt in a two hour period of not having a cigarette, I was calm, i happy i was content. Then i went and lit was was going to be my last cigarette and felt ANXIOUS. I butted it and said Ithis isn’t for me. I am happy tosay, because of Allen Carr’s book, How to stop smoking Permanently I am now a non smoker of over 6 months and since that day I have had NO cravings, desires or wants of a cigrarette, nor does it bother me when someone smokes in front of me. Now if only I could get my hands on a copy of this book to share with friendss I’d be so happy. As well I ‘m trying to locate a copy of Easy weigh. Being on a Disability makes income short, but Thanks you so much Allen Carr for illustrating the truth to me that its a delusion.

I quit on April 29, 2011 never having heard of Allen Carr nor his methods. I am 55 years old and was “suffocating” each day. A cardiologist looked at me and said, “Quit or die”….I physically found the will to quit 18 days later. The first 6 weeks were easy, until I had my angiogram procedure. The doctors determined that my arterial blockage was “insignificant” and that my pain was “merely angina”….hmmm, not so bad, eh? Then the mind games started, as in, “maybe I could just smoke a little bit”, or “darn, no one else in my life has changed, why should I have to?”….came very close to giving in….in fact, truth be told, I cheated twice (ouch! haven’t told anyone that!) Anyway, I kept plugging away, but was miserable… then a few days ago a friend of mine lent me her copy of “EASYWAY”….I read it cover to cover over a one day period…IT WAS THE BEST READ I’VE EVER DONE!!!! I will be forever grateful to my dear friend for passing it along! Very timely, and will ensure my success!!
Bless YOu, Allen Carr…you are a gift to mankind!!!!

Having tried so many ways to give up smoking I was amazed and delighted with Allan’s book. By the time I got to the last two chapters I was so eager to stop smoking I made my self late for work so that I could finish the book and begin my smoke free life. That was 7 years ago and I have never touched a cigarette since. Thank you so much.
I’d just like to thank if I could the memory of Mr Carr . I was recommended this by a friend and funnily enough a work colleague I quit smoking the easy way on 23 may this year and found it ridiculously easy as was promised , tho as Mr Carr warned you may experience a slight comedown which.lasted for about 2 days which I didn’t fight I went with it and it thankfully passed , I have downloaded the kindle edition of the easy way to control alcohol wish me good luck in this many thanks Danny – Liverpool
I’m now on day 4 of being a non-smoker and can’t believe how easy this is so far!
I attended an Easyway clinic in Glasgow on 2nd July and left feeling that I was the one who was going to struggle and fail – everyone else was really positive at the end and already felt like non-smokers. I was a bit worried to be honest!
But – this really has been a surprise to me. I’m feeling great, really positive and the withdrawal symptoms have been minor and so easy to cope with. I know it is only day four but I can only compare it to the times and methods I have tried before. At this point I would be raging at all around me and practically chewing my fingers off. Not this time – I’m genuinely happy to be free and know that I will not have another cigarette.
You need to try this way if you genuinely want to be free from cigarettes. Go to a clinic (you can even use Tesco points, which are tripled when you buy Easyway vouchers) or read the book. This does work!
My friend’s mom brought this back to him from a trip to England. She said it was some popular thing there. He used it and it worked. He had tried several times and had done pretty good on his own, I thought. I figured that this time was because he was ready to quit and this was a sugar pill.
I started using the patch about 6 month later. The next day after I started the patch, he told me to get this book. I really thought he sounded dumb for suggesting it. I kept thinking how stupid it sounded that a book would make me quit smoking. He talked all this stuff that sounded magic. “Oh, I don’t even want to smoke anymore. When I quit, I never wanted one again.” I was like, “yeah and I have some fairy dust to go with your crazy.”
I got it on CD anyway and listened to it while driving and and such. I took the patch off that night and quit within the next day or two.
Allen Carr, I wish you were alive today so I could do something to thank you. I’m sure you’re in a good place in Heaven.
Today is my two-year anniversary since my last cigarette at the Allen Carr clinic. I remember because it’s 4th July – Independence Day, which I thought was quite appropriate.
We left the clinic feeling no different, but then I noticed after a while that I hadn’t really thought about smoking at all. Since then I just haven’t wanted a cigarette. No cravings at all. Admittedly, there’ve been moments when I’ve had a small twinge (nostalgia, usually) but it’s so easy to bat away I barely notice it. I am absolutely a non-smoker, whereas it used to feel like a key element of my life, almost part of my identity.
I’m extremely grateful. I recommend it to anyone struggling to give up. If you’re worried about the price of the clinic, mine paid for itself after two and a half months of not shelling out for Marlboros. I just worked out that I’ve saved £1,920 by not spending on cigarettes the last couple of years.

I heard Allen Carr being interviewed on the radio sometime in 2006. I was sceptical but as a heavy smoker i thought that i should at least give the Easyway To Stop Smoking book a try. In sept ’06 i bought a copy from Tesco and read it over a period of two weeks whilst smoking.I stopped smoking immediately and was astounded at how easy it was.I have never smoked since and have had absolutely no cravings.I don’t understand why the book works,it just does and it’s the only method i would recommend Tony (York,North Yorkshire)
I had loathed smoking for a number of years and as a result, loathed myself too. I am a sceptic and so read the Easyway to give up smoking book with some trepidation, but I stopped smoking as soon as I read the final chapter. All the testimonials (including my own) sounded like a sales pitch but now I can honestly say I know how being FREE feels. All my friend’s and family are amazed at how easily I did this and I am too. It is something I have longed to do for years but never had the motivation or understanding of what powered my cravings- nothing. I think the NHS should seriously consider prescribing this book to every smoker who is desperate to give up and as long as you WANT to understand it and you truly WANT to give up, you can!! So many of my friends
I feel really proud of myself, and have gained back the self esteem this habit took from me so long ago. THANK YOU Allen Carr and Easyway for giving me my life back.
I have now not been smoking for over 3 years thank to Alan Carr’s book.
I used to smoke 40 cigarettes (Malboro Red) every dayfor over 9 years. I was very addicted and dependant on my cigarettes. My smoking was my life.
A friend told me to buy your book. My response was that i will only quit smoking if it’s I don’t feel any stress etc by doing so… and here I am over 3 years now. Guys it’s so easy to quit with Alan Carr’s mind-breaking technic.
Since I have stopped smoking my life has completely changed.
Thanks a million Alan
