Hello,

I was a smoker for twenty something years. For the past five years I was struggling with myself, wanting to get rid of my nicottine adiction, but I never attemped to do it for real. About 2 years ago I bought and read Allen Carr’s Easyway to Stop Smoking and nothing happened. This year I started reading the book again, and I am extremely happy to say that recently I began my journey to be smoke free for the rest of my life!!! Everything that I read in the book is so true. It is like if the author was reading my mind. You live with the fear of failing trying to quit. Meditation has helped me a lot as well, because through the book I had learned that everything is on my mind. So far I haven’t felt any physical negative symptoms, except for this energy/adrenaline rush inside me that is amazing!

From the bottom of my heart I want to thank Allen Carr’s method and all the passionate people behind this wonderful program, that continue to give hope to so many people around the world!

Best wishes to all,
Arlene

Im jade from barrow-in-furness cumbria. I read Allen carrs easy way to stop smoking 7 weeks ago today and been smoke free since :) extremely pleased. I’ve tried quitting smoking 13 times using NRT and never lasted more then a couple of weeks.
I’m so glad my friend recommended this book to me as I felt there was no way I would be smoke free ever and it really scared me.
Thank you Allen Carr for getting me FREE

I was a two to three pack a day smoker for twenty years. I tried substituion methods to quit smoking, but none of them worked. I bought the Easy Way book, but didn’t read it all the way the first time. Still, I kept the book. Several years later, I took the book off the shelf and read it in about ten days. On July 4th, 2008, I started my day smoking as I had for 20 years. As my day went on, I forgot all about smoking. I used to smoke one cigarette every 20 minutes, but on that day I went four hours without even a thought of smoking. When I realized I had forgotten to smoke, I also noticed I had no craving. That day I became a non-smoker again.
I now don’t think of myself as an ex-smoker. I am a non-smoker. It is as if I never smoked in the first place. July 4th is now my personal Independence Day, a day when I celebrate my freedom from the madness of smoking!
Many, many thanks to Allen Carr. May all smokers find the freedom he shared with us.

Victory! I am finally free of all my addictions and it feels wonderful!

I’ve applied Easyway to one or another substance (nicotine/alcohol/cannabis/caffeine) consistently for the past 5 years, but I’ve finally woke up to the fact that I was still feeding “the void” by continuing to imbibe the other addictive substances… Finally I’m free and I’ve never been more euphoric! This must be the moment of revelation!

Thanks to Allen Carr and all those involved with Easyway, you are both life savers and life changers : D

Much Love

Happy Days

Hi,

My name is Kerry and I just have to let you know how fantastic, successful and easy I have found Allen Carr’s books. I have stopped smoking for five years now, gone from a size12 to a size 10 in just a few months (fruit for breakfast works a treat) and am now half way through “no more worrying” not because I worry but just out of curiosity and admiration for Allen Carr.

I am saddened that his smoking habit of past years got the better of him but he should rest in peace with the knowledge of saving my life and others. He IS a genius and I am totally in his debt for having written such brilliant books I only wish I could have thanked him personally. I boast about his books at every opportunity.

ALLEN CARR thank you.

Yours gratefully, Kerry x

182 days Nicotine free. 4,368 cigarettes not smoked. $1,485 saved. 237 hours of my life not spent smoking. Thanks to The Easy Way to Stop Smoking by Allen Carr.

Well that’s 300 cigarettes I have not smoked in the last two weeks thanks to this incredibly easy approach to quitting. I realised yesterday that the inner voice had died several days ago without my even noticing, I’m not even thinking at all about smoking now. A 30 year addiction gone, just like that.

Thank you so very much Allen Carr!

My wife downloaded the book via Audible for me onto my phone. I started listening to it the next day whilst driving via Bluetooth and ended up spending the whole day listening to the whole book. I don’t know how it works but it does . I thought partway through the book that I’d quit but for some reason had kept enough tobacco for one more roll up . Sure enough when instructed at the end of the book to smoke that last one , I did. That was the last one !! Anyone who thinks they don’t need the book are kidding themselves and will spend their life in cold turkey , I know , I’ve been there .

Subject – Flying

I just flew to Japan and back to see my son.

Not really such big news but IMPOSSIBLE before I read your book Easy Way to Enjoy Flying, recommended to me by my nephew, a fellow ( ex) plane phobic.

You are right; it must be read several times but it works! I waited for the old palpitations and tears to start but they didn’t. During the 12 hour flight if things started to affect me I would just repeat to myself some of the things I learned..eg about turbulence.

Best wishes
Helen

Hi there
I really just want to let you guys know probably what you know already and that Allen Carrs method is amazing… I have used his easyway to stop smoking, stop alcohol (and drugs) and also lose weight…. (i also want to read his get out of debt book just as I have an idea that it may be about reversing the brainwashing that retail therapy etc provides some sort of pleasure .. ??).
His works have changed my life and opened my eyes in ways I never knew.
I have never attended an Easyway clinic as the books have worked for me.. however if you guys done already do this, I would suggest that if they had experts there on all his books so people could attend for weight problems, drug or alcohol problems, gambling, money problems etc… They could really be rehab clinics..I think his programs should be used as a form of recovery from all self destructive behaviors.
I spead the message as much as I can to others who are still suffering. I always tell smokers at work who say theyve been a week without a cigarette but keep eating lollies and are handling the stress to just give in, go buy a pack of 30s and a copy of Easyway, sit down, chainsmoke and read this book and youll never smoke again! haha.

Thanks to the team continuing the mission of Allens legacy.
Forever grateful

Steve

I’ve been a happy non-smoker now for over 5 months thanks to this book. I smoked for almost 15 years and realized that I was quickly closing in on having been a smoker for more of my life than I wasn’t.

Thanks to this book, I have my life back. I’m not as irritable and I have more energy both of which have inspired me to lead a healthier lifestyle. I’m more active and eating better. Those were not concious choices, it just sort of happened. My food tastes amazing. I haven’t tasted food like this since I was a kid. Even the taste of an apple made my jaw drop.

Thank you so much for sharing your method with the world Mr Carr! I’m doing my part to tell all my friends and family who smoke (without being the preachy ex-smoker). They are all jealous of how easy it was for me and how happy I am. Some don’t believe the book will help and are still trying other methods but I’m slowly winning them over. I know I sound like an infomercial but I can’t help it. I never would have accomplished this without the book opening my eyes.

Allen has saved my life and will save the life of my daughter. The smashing of the illusion and clever deceit perpetuated by the tobacco industry, the government and the National Health Service and the medical profession, is both profound and brave. Ever since the chains and prison of nicotine have been removed, I do more, live more and achieve more, and I realise that I am happy. I have bought many copies of the book and given it away to friends and friends relatives. The book should be on the NHS. The principles applied to nicotine are clearly transferable to other aspects of life and enable and arm people to understand the tricks of the consumer industry to waste money, exhaust our bodies and be unhappy!! Thanks to Allen and his family that allowed him to take this venture.

I would like to thank Allan Carr for writing this book. It will be 3 years on May 7th 2013 that I have not had a cigarette. The book was a Christmas gift from my son, and it sat in my desk drawer for probably 2 years. As I was cleaning out my desk one day, I picked it up and went over to the couch. I sat down and started reading. I finished the book the next afternoon. I picked up my son at work and when he was getting out of the car I asked him to throw out my pack of cigarettes and lighter. I haven’t even thought about it since!!! I was a 2 pack a day smoker for 30 years!!

I tell everybody I meet that smokes about this amazing book! Many thanks to be free from this terrible habit!

Friends and I decided to stop smoking as a fundraising event and I was determined to succeed so I bought the book. Had a real “lightbulb” moment when it dawned on me that I wasn’t giving up something I enjoyed so it was hardly a sacrifice. The sponsored event lasted all of March and we raised over £700 for a dog rescue – and I am a non smoker :-)

Hello, I am 26 years old and have smoked a pack a day since my 16th birthday. I had desperately wanted to quit, and hated myself because I was not able to. I felt miserable every time I tried, and had nearly accepted that I would die young from my smoking problem. A friend of mine told me that there was this “book” that changed his life and made him not desire cigarettes. Low and behold I bought that book for 4.37$ (digital copy) on Amazon.com, and after reading the entire thing in one day, I have never smoked since. (It’s been months) I remember that a few weeks later my girlfriend exclaimed how proud of me she was. I had to stop and think about it, because I had forgotten that I used to smoke. After our conversation, I realized the power of what I had learned. I immediately went on the web to find a way to thank this incredible author. Unfortunately this great man had passed away in 2006. I truly believe Allen Carr and his easy way philosophy saved the longevity of my life. I wish I could personally thank him. Instead, I decided that I would spread the word and lead anyone to this book who wants to quit. That is why I’m writing this review. Human beings have powerful minds and can accomplish anything, but only when we stop lying to ourselves. Thank you Allen Carr, and the people who support his teachings. Why won’t our own government make this method known? I did not find this until I was 26. I could have been helped years ago. Thanks for reading.

I am off cigarettes two days now, I know it sounds silly saying that but I have stopped smoking before and stayed off them a year at a time but I feel different I don’t feel deprived like I normally do the only problem I have is not sleeping properly but I suppose that will rectify itself once the withdrawl is over. I read this book because in the back of my mind I wanted to stop and I thought what’s the harm. I read half of it and stop for a day or two because I feared it was actually working, i pushed myself to read the rest initially but when I got to the last few chapters I was so excited to finish the book so I could finally be a non smoker. I am so excited to be a non smoker. Big fan from Ireland.

I have smoked since I was 14 years old. I had my last smoke one week before my 38th birthday in March this year while reading Allen’s book. 24 years of thinking I had to smoke has disappeared and the illusion is gone. I am a nonsmoker! I know without a doubt that I will never feed that monster again and bring him back to life! And it has been SUPER EASY, even as my husband continues to smoke as we sit outside together, I pity him and will not join in any longer. It has been 12 days and my life will forever be easier. I am so grateful Jillian Michaels refers this book to people. I expect my marathon and half marathon run times will greatly improve!I’m definitely putting this book in my husband’s hands.

31 year old overweight smoker, having smoked 15-30 cigs a day for 17 years (albeit smoked less in the early years). I’ve been successful in almost every other part of my live, both financially and in love, but what is it all worth if I was one of the unlucky ones who died early. I’d wake up every morning with pains in my lungs and scared myself silly it was premature cancer…AND yet I would rush outside in all weathers and light up first thing.

You’ve got to want to give up, you’ve got to enjoy the feeling of emptiness for a while even if it is completely foreign to you, but listen to your guide and listen to your inner self. I stubbed out my last cigarette at Allen Carr on Friday 22nd Mar 2013 and then did the strangest thing on the Sunday. Having not exercised for 17 years, I went for a jog. I did about 100m and could barely breath, but I would walk then jog. The point of it is that you can’t smoke so you want/need to feel the gap. Next day I joined the gym (I can not stress how vehemently opposed I was to gyms) and have been every single day since. Today (2 weeks after having stopped smoking) I ran 6km uninterrupted and loved every minute of it – followed by 30 laps in the pool. I feel strong, capable, healthy and empowered. I am you – normal – but I’ve changed and it’s only for the better. Whilst I still want to go to the Doctor and check whether or not I should have some kind of physical or blood test, the reality is my lungs feel great. I was tired after the jog but not out of breath. I would do one length (25m) in the pool and draw breath maybe 4 times. Your body can change and so can your attitude.

Be strong, be confident and more than anything, just be bold enough to make an appointment with the clinic. Challenge yourself and see how far you can take it.

Good luck everyone & thank you Allen Carr.

Allen you smashed it, I’d tried quitting 3 times before, first using willpower, then nicotine lozenges and then patches. Nothing worked and I’d resigned myself to the fact that despite the fact that I hated these filthy vile cigarettes, I needed them to have a normal life.

I read your book when someone recommended it, but I really didn’t believe it would work. How could a book make me want to stop smoking. It is truly amazing. Once the illusion of what I believed cigarettes was broken, I now look at cigarettes in a completely different light, the allure and the beauty of cigarettes has completely disappeared from my mind and the desire to smoke is completely gone.

Truly unbelievable, I hope you rest in peace because you’ve saved my life and thousands of others!

I have never tried to stop smoking or have wanted too, until a few weeks ago i looked at my 12 year old son and thought how upset i would be if he started to smoke. I also found i was getting so out of breathe. A friend told me that they had stopped smoking, as a result from reading Allen Carrs book. So i brought easy way to stop smoking, when i started to read it i got so hooked on it that i read it in 2 days. I am very happy to report that i have not smoked since. An acquaintance of mine stopped smoking several months ago, and when I asked how she did it she replied, “I read a book”.

The more I thought about it I decided I just had to find this “book”. In searching, I came across Alan Carr’s book and bought it.

I truly thought I was never going to be able to quit, but a funny thing happened. By the time I finished the book, I had come to look at cigarettes in a whole different way. One day I noticed that I had only 3 left in my pack, which normally would have caused panic and a trip to the store. However, on this particiular day it caused me no concern whatsoever. When those 3 were gone, I just decided that I could do this. Even I am astonished, but I DID IT!! And just like Alan says, it was EASY.

I would certinaly recommend this method to anyone who would like to quit. It changed my life and I am so very thankful!
